May I ask you a question, please?<3 Your anatomy is really good in my opinion and I wondered if you every use references for your work. Or do you just draw from mind? What are your thoughts on using references?
I'm just kinda struggling with getting the anatomy right at the moment, so I'm curious about what you did to achieve your skills.

hello! I don't use references, but sometimes when it's a pose i've never tried out before i will look at references! using references is a good thing and helps someone to get better at it for sure! I'm just too lazy... my advice would be to use references but also study other artists anatomy work and really understand it, like why there is is a feeling of weight at that part of the body, if you know what I mean? like when looking at the anatomy try to understand what and why the artist did. That way you'll remember it and maybe bring it into your own piece in some way! also don't be afraid to not be perfect sometimes it helped me to draw bodies with long arms and legs and exaggerate the anatomy and movements. Then you can try to draw the same thing but a little more realistic. look at your own body in the mirror and make poses and see what it is that makes the body move, I hope this helps : )Β
