And don't buy a 360. They're unreliable and they break super easy and if you move the system just slightly, it'll put a ring in your disc and render said disc useless. Get a PS3, they're a lot less retarded D: Most games come out on both. Also, PS3 is a blu-ray player and therefore more useful.

If I ever got one it wouldn't be until like...a year or so but I've always wondered which would be better. I'm not really up on the specs or anything, like hard drive sizes and all that. I only know that some PS3's are more expensive than others (or that may be the 360's) due to hard drive space or something - I need to read up on them.
I used to have an XBox, it had more exclusive games for it than the PS2 but some reason I traded it for a PS2...oh well...at least I got to play the XF and Kim Possible games
Would you pick a PS3 over a Wii for the games too? ...I wouldn't get a Wii yet, I'd just sponge off Helen haha!

Both PS3 and 360 have different hard drive sizes. PS3s have been released four different sizes but the 20GB and 60GB have been discontinued because they were too expensive to manufacture due to the fact that they had built-in PS2s for backwards compatability. The 40GB and 80GB are really the only ones out for the moment. The 40 isn't backwards compatible and the 80 runs PS2/1 games through an emulator. They're rereleasing the 80 in June (I think) bundled with Metal Gear Solid 4 and a dualshock controller.
The 360's have three different options. The Arcade console comes with no hard drive, but it comes with a memory card. You can't play any old Xbox games without the hard drive, nor can you do any kind of online play. However, if you find a 360 hard drive, you can always hook it up later. The Pro console comes with a 20GB hard drive and a wired headset. The Elite console comes with a 120GB hard drive, a wireless headset, and HDMI cords. The Elite is also black, whereas the other two are white.
As for Wii vs. PS3... I think I'd rather have the Wii because it's got Mario Galaxy which is freaking rad.
