At the first impression, this large yet childish young man seems kind and pure hearted. But behind his sweetness, he is a cruel man in a small child manner.
Ivan is always looking for friends, although he is shy and unsociable around people before he befriended with them. He rarely considers everyone his friend. Most people sees him as an intimidating man, then deciding to stay away from the Russian, which makes him feeling very lonely.
Ivan could be described as gentle, naive, not malicious, yet extremely scary. He feels amused by tormenting others and watching arguments, to see reactions. He loves people who cry and laugh easily. He is often pushy and manipulative to get things in his way. He claimed that there is no such service as compromise in Russia. One of his boss once told him to use force to make friends.
Ivan's relationship with both of his sisters is very complicated. Whenever he thinks about his sisters' behavior become strange, he becomes very depressed. He often wonders why Ukraine is avoiding him, he thinks that she "hates" him. He is scared of his younger sister, Belarus, who has obsession to marry him. He finds his sisters are strange, but he still loves them, both Ukraine and Belarus.
Ivan's childhood was full of tragedies and war, which made his mentality crack. Even though Ivan lives in the cold tundra of Russia, he hates snow, because of General Winter haunts and attacks him every year. However, General Winter is also his best ally in war. His childhood was tough and troubled, full of forced servitude, bullying, and constant pursuing by other countries.
When Ivan is upset, he would begin to chant 'KolKolKol' to threaten and frighten others.
"So, everyone will become one with Mother Russia, da?"

Honestly, she had no huge or very important reason to visit Russia, except for one, which was visiting the Russian man. She knew people all over the world thought they had a deep hatred for each other, but she didn't really hate him... she hated his government and the things they did, and anyway, she knew that Ivan was also a very kind person. So there she was, knocking on the door of his house, and begging he would open since it was really cold, so cold her huge jacket wasn't enough to keep her warm.

The Russian male was inside his house, trying to make himself warmer by drinking a bottle of vodka. Hearing someone had just knocked his door made him quickly turned his head to the door. Oh? A visitor? It wasn't everyday he had visitors came to his place. He was hoping it was his sisters coming for visit. But as he opened the door, his eyes widen in surprise. The familiar American girl came to his house.
"Ah? Allison? Privyet!" Ivan's lips formed a wide smile. "What brings you here?"

Allison smiled when she saw him smiling, hers was a bit awkward though since the cold weather made her teeth chatter and chatter. She was currently rubbing her hands together to try and keep them warm but it wasn't helping as much as she wanted it to.
At his question, she shrugged and chuckled, "Well I'm just coming to say hello" She said and then completely out of instinct, she wrapped her arms around him in a hug, both because he looked so warm, and Allison needed that warmth... and also because well, she really wanted to hug him.
