I don't like it, nor I hate it. It just makes me feel  so depressed with jealousy I caught a heartache, my art is just dysfuncional garbage compared to hers.

Its so easy to compare ourselves to someone else and see fault in everything we do but there will always be someone who creates something that you prefer compared to your own work, but it doesn't make it better or worse. Its yours and yours alone. I try to improve myself to make my own art better each time so that each year when I look back my art I can say I am better. But that's just me trying to be optimistic  

Do you use Photoshop for your art? It looks like it. You seem to have good understanding of digital art and how to use the software from what I can see. I look forward to see more of your art

Actually I had no idea what I was doing with Photoshop, I was screwing things up.
She got like a million favs and thousands of watchers cuz of her pictures got a Daily Deviation on that Sailor Moon valentine's drawing.
Where's my DD? So yes being popular was the whole purpose for coming here. Is true, I don't pretend to be humble like everyone else here.

I think to be seen more on the front page you need to publish regular artwork, like daily, and build up your followers by commenting on others work, being involved in forums etc. I also think it helps to get your art noticed when you draw well known characters and themes which people like and it draws people to you. For example, a person draws lots of harry potter fan art which will increase their followers a lot because it has a large fan base. Some times you've got to appeal to the masses to get seen

Well its just an example. Look around deviant art and see what fan art you yourself would also like to do  like cartoons, Disney, films, books, manga. I find my art is better when I have a passion for what Im drawing. Im currently drawing a Disney character a day in my own style of drawing, a remake of what I think they should look like.

Yeah, I'm trying to experience all of the aforementioned media so I could know the characters, story etc.
At least you're not "ponyfing", I swear this shit is so lazy it should be outlawed, it's not all art.

Well I suppose its a way to connect to followers ad fans through something they like. I try to draw fan art of things I like, but I do try to make it my own, not just a straight copy. That is what makes it 'your' art IMO Take a popular idea and make it your own

To be honest I tried creating OCs, then I realized they're not that great but it's okay, I can make better ones and I can get to make a story, a love story about a wolf boy and a bunny girl (didn't find one in this site though). I kinda got this idea from Picolo's icarus and the Sun girl. I admit I'm not at all original.

that sounds pretty original to me! everyone draws inspiration from something, doesn't mean your copying someone though. copying something word for word, stroke for stroke is bad, but if you make your own spin on it, it become yours

There's also a problem with popular artists, that includes Picolo. Whenever you try to talk to them, they just don't reply, it's like they don't even care about their fans (which was thanks to them they got fame from the very beginning).
