Sorry for the abrupt question, but since you seem to know eally well Yu Yu Hakusho, could you please tell me if there are major differences between the manga and the anime other than the cuts they made with the main character at the beginning (I'm talking about showing him drinking and smoking like in the manga)?

I only watched the anime, and I was wondering if I missed something vital to the plot and/or characterizations (I must point out that I liked the anime series and its ending).

I'm more partial to the manga myself. Yuusuke's smoking is mere censorship. *shrugs*

There are quite a few differences, but nothing I'd consider major. The storyline itself is the same; the dissimilarities lay heavily on the cuts. You could say that the manga has a few "fillers" in the beginning and end, but they don't really affect the plot. (Am I supposed to keep this spoiler free? Hehe.) Sometimes a character makes an appearance in the anime when she's not supposed to be there... (Here's looking at you, Botan. Botan, by the way, is more amusingly sarcastic in the manga.)

I think that if you don't read the manga, you're missing out since there's a lot that's been left out. ^^ The ending is far more superb in the manga, IMO.

Same here. I love it so much I regret we don't have a male Kurama cosplayer on our group cosplay.

That pic just gave me an evil idea. Giggle Giggle Giggle Giggle Giggle A way to vent my newfound KB fandom, because writing a fic is a million times harder than I thought >< Maybe another KB cosplay will do. :D (Big Grin)

Speaking of Kurama cosplayer, how about (seems to be a pro though)? I was browsing through his Bleach gallery, and then I got curious because one commenter wrote in Tagalog, then I found out that he's actually based in Manila, and then was surprised to know that he even attended the same university I did. Weird. Never saw him around campus. But anyway, he's one Kurama cosplayer who I think CAN pull it off. ;) (Wink)

Behindinfinity is a girl. She's like, SUPER FAMOUS among all cosplayers. My cosplayer friends call her Jin-sama ;D I've seen their YYH cosplay. Awesome. I bet she wouldn't spare me a glance if I begged her. I'm like, a nobody in the cosplay community, LOL :D (Big Grin) But she's a really cool cosplayer. A lot of my friends are her fan, whenever she arrives at a cosplay events people go, "OMG it's Jin-sama!"

AHA! So that's why I was VERY compelled to add "(although I have a feeling he's a girl)," LOL. Kaya pala. Ahh, rly now. Ithought is the goddess of cosplay in the Philippines (mostly because she's the only cosplayer I know...until now). Hah. Well, malay mo. :p (Lick)
