I won't be going there anymore though - quit my job to stay home and be a housewife
Which is not as bad as it sounds ..... hubby is forking out some cash for me to buy canvas, wood, tacks, paints, liquin etc at the end of the month so that I can concentrate on my art. Hopefully this means my stuff will improve. I know you only become a better artist by working at it . But when you don't have time and the equipment is so damn expensive you work just stagnates.....

Dial up is a bitch and potentially damaging to the income. Abuse the work line, which means I don't get to upload much in the way of "art." (Work steals most of the time required to create it. Argh!!!)
ha ha. That's funny I normally tell people "boksburg NORTH." De-emphasizing Boksburg and emphasizing north. But escape is definitely on the cards.
You go to patriwhat! Ha ha ha. just kidding. Thing is when you spend every waking day with these people you tend to pick up on some of their influences, and tend to end up socialising with them. Luckily we have this internet thing to escape and comm with people who share somewhat simillar interests. Also being able to turn the mind off in certain conversations helps. (the racist comments or discussions about rugby or whining for example.) Got an invitation to visit a coworker at his house once. An RDP home in Leachville which is just beyond Benoni. Was quite a culture shock, what with a jeans and t-shirt white boy driving through a small town which had no more than 4 cars all standing on bricks. (Won't mention the alt.rock/punk blaring from the radio.) Interesting experience. Usually try to avoid these situations, but he's a nice guy despite the fact we have nothing in common. ha ha ha.
