Personally I am from Fez, and the two moroccan cities I like the most are Fez and Marrakech. So if you want to come back there another time you'll be most welcome.
I saw that you went to Greece also. It is one of my dreams to go there. Like Morocco, Greece has such a rich culture. I hope your trips were nice and that your really enjoyed your time

Fez is a breath-taking city! I loved it there. And the medina is something else - like a merge in time. Simply mind-blowing.
Marrakesh - it was a bit too touristy for my taste. But then I was in Chefchaouen and Fes before I arrived there.
But Morocco is a very special and beatiful country!
Greece - a very beatiful place as well.
Though my suggestion to visit the country off-season, if you plan to see the cultural sights. My first time in Greece was in October - and they literally had people regulating the crowd on the Acropolis in Athen. In comparison on my last trip in January - I was practically alone on all of the archeological sights.

What you've said about Marrakech is very important and true. It is becoming more artificial if I can say so. Fez still has its personality, that's why it is so special to go there.
