You don’t know man, you weren’t there. The things that I saw, they defy description. It’s like I stared straight into the abyss and it stared right back into me. My soul will be forever twisted by the horrible things that I have seen. Cats, man. Cats, in little, tiny, absurdly themed hats. It was like something out of H.P. Lovecraft, I swear to God. If I hadn’t seen it with my own three eyes, I never would have believed it. But it’s all true. People really dress their cats up and take pictures. it’s a crime against nature, is what it is. This is how it starts, man. First it’s cats in hats, and then… dogs in clogs. I know, man. I told you I couldn’t handle it.

Welcome to the Existentialist Dinner. Our specials today are the bitter regrets of an otherwise emotionally adjusted 3 year old, the missing verse to the unsung heroes of urban waste disposal truck number 29, the fleeting elation of a young newlywed couple who have yet to experience the crushing betrayal of rampant infidelity, and the general ennui of the French upper-class. Oh, and there’s pie. I wouldn’t recommend that though, it’s takes itself a little too seriously, if you ask me. There’s nothing worse than pretentious pie.

I had a llama once. His name was Kevin, but for reasons I will never understand, would only answer to Albert. After hours of bittersweet brotherhood, we finally parted ways over the subject of spitting. He seemed to feel as though I should stop and that was just never going to happen. We might have overcome that issue, if it weren't for the overly competitive nature of llamas in general. Endless stench competitions, numerous belching contests, and one afternoon spent figuring out which one was hairier, it became obvious that that Kevin just couldn’t take losing. So he snuck out, taking with him a doomed friendship, an overwhelming dread for the future, and my bloody toothbrush. Now that he is gone, I'd probably say it's for the best. He was too much of a chick magnet anyway and who needs that drama?

Who really wants to be astronaut anyway? All the training, sacrifice and preparation just to jettison yourself into an infinitely hostile environment for a few months of crippling psychological stress from the isolation and confinement, only to plummet back to earth, and that’s all assuming the best case scenario. What about the strong possibility of catastrophic failure or the very real possibility of foreign bodies in the cabin. I heard from one prior spaceman that he had to endure 3 months confined with a stray cat just because one of the ground crew left the door open. Who needs it! I quit. I’m going back to clown school to get my degree.

But not as much as the codpiece, though. Boy is that one laced up tighter than a Victorian lady’s corset that’s 9 months pregnant with septuplets. Have you ever seen a pregnant corset carrying septuplets? Me neither, but it would have get pretty tired. I actually dated a set of septuplets once, or at least I think they were. It’s either that or I somehow ended up dating the same woman seven times, each time using a different name and claiming to have never laid eyes upon me before. She never did introduce me to any of her sisters though, and coincidently they all had the same scar running along the side of their heads, weird.
