fair enough, I don't run contests for my amusement, nor do I run the chatroom and keep it busy and full of people that can help 3D Artists like yourself for my amusement, I don't need the publicity to showcase my own art, and I'm not interested in having thousands of members in my group. I sent you that message because you are a 3D artist and the contests and chat are there for your benefit. If you aren't interested in it then don't come. It doesn't benefit me in any way for you to come to us, and it's not like your profile page is looked at very often so it doesn't benefit me to choose you to use for advertisement. So you're welcome for my time, but this is the last of it.

The "copy and paste spam" thing is what set me off.... Theoretically speaking, a properly made script and someone could hit enough low-view profiles to make a difference....

DA actually has an anti-spam system. So when you send a message too many times it will stop you.

I sent you the message after checking that you were a 3D artist, perhaps if you had come in the room to check us out instead of getting sh*tty with me and flagging my message as spam you'd have known that. However I know now longer care, so either you can come in, take part in our contests if you will or not. I have other people that actually want to help and are grateful to be told where to get it.

P.S. I say it's spam in the message because it is spam, but doesn't mean it wasn't useful to you. and I'm certainly not a script!

"other people that actually want to help" <- People which are providing help to others...

"...and are greatful to be told where to get it." <-People giving help are being told where to get to help?

Reguardless, I may stop in... but, my only interest in "help" is getting more views. Aside from that, I usually manage to teach myself what I need with little difficulty.

Yeah sorry, I'm the typo queen, just take out the "to" and it all makes sense

People can often self teach, that is what is so great about the "make everything user friendly" culture we have today, however you cant critique yourself, I often encourage people to thumb their artwork in the chatroom to get peoples opinions on what they can improve. I wonder if you can take critique

I actually don't usually worry to much about user-friendly... Though I will say that I will happily take just about ANYTHING over Lightwave V. 1.0 (well, more so that was just slow as hell, but, not very friendly.)

On critique... I have a fair collection of friends/people I pester... 3 IRC Channels and 4 or 5 IRL friends... The things I'm serious about usually end up being graded assignments...

Generally I do take critique well, but there are things that I won't change for various reasons (IE: I'm not re-doing the lighting after I've been rendering animation for a month....

I quite liked Lightwavem dunno what version it was and i only tried it for about a week at a mates house when i stayed there but it was about 4 or 5 years ago xD

I don't do 3D that much anymore, I literally run the group for the members now, I enjoy the company of nerds I guess. I'm studying to be a baker so my nerdiness is slowly being drained out of me.

But fair enough, you have made your point that you aren't in any need of more peoples help/opinions and have no need to network either

I'm gonna wager this is probably older... It was running on a Comodore Amiga with video toaster... Which was a great video switcher, but, when you switched over to the 3D Graphics side, it said "Light Wave", followed by a very slow process of editing models 1 polygon at a time and having to spend 15 minutes to select each vertices... *shudder, shudder, shudder*

Its probably nice today (I've never had the chance... blenderhead til' I can get something else), but it was really horrendous back then. Which was the limitations of the hardware more than anything else...
