Aw man, I love Luke :'3 Was planning on getting him for a while for the character I got my Achernar for in the end (and I only didn't because I was worried he'd look to similar to my kirill). And you are a braver person then me to do your own faceups @_@
My kirill has the old version body so I'm not sure how the new one handles but personally I love it. It's not the most attractive looking one, and the chest joint is a bit wonky, but he stands like a rock. For a hybrid though, dod resin tones are notoriously wonky (my guys actually different shades in some places :I but then he's back from '07 so I'm not 100% on where they stand these days).

Nnnnn yeah. I think I saw a thread on DoA somewhere that said that like 08 DOD resin was a good match for DiM, but lord only knows. I can't judge by Asher, either, since he's been out in the sun a lot and his hands are a completely different color from his chest and legs. XD

It used not to be too bad for me, I'd buy a doll because I liked the sculpt and then create the character for it... and then my plans got ahead of my money and the little sods started evolving character wise on me and growing out of sculpts so to speak. It's made everything insanely complicated >_<
First dolls are always the prettiest, hands down. XD I'd still take my bluefairy over any of the rest of mine.
I'm sort of stuck when it comes to faceups really, I love working on the dolls and doing modding work... but I'm one of those people who always ends up hating their own stuff after a couple of days so my own faceups on dolls are just a trial for me. I tried it with my kirill for a while and then gave up in disgust and sent him to someone else XD
I feel your pain, I've been trying to get my DIM a new body (because uh, the DIM one is... well, impossible to deal with) but trying to work out where to start is just insane. Doesn't help that most resin matches for DIM are for the minimee line.... which has a completely different resin from their normal line. Ugh.

My problems are simply exacerbated because I got into dolls because of my friends', and they already had a working storyline going, so mine got worked into that, and then other friends got involved and it all turned into a big tangled mess. On the other hand, it means a lot more dollies since there are more people to spend the money! <3
