# About me
I'm Jamie. I started drawing portraits when I was three. I've kept at it over the years, and now I'm much better :} I've had no college training, just my high school classes. My favorite mediums are pencil, ball point pen, nail polish, and crayons. I do take requests, but only local for the time-being.# Comments

Sorry it is so cold where you are, Jamie. We just got our first snow of the season, and it's rapidly melting. I don't think I would enjoy North Dakota. Especially where you are.
Thank you for the of "Swimmers on Squeaky Beach" [link]
Of course in Australia where I took that picture it's just getting warmer.

It's an adventure initially. But after a few days it gets old. I was in the 100 year snow storm in Colorado, stuck in a motel in Ft Collins. That is the one that collapsed the airport terminal. After 3 days it got boring. Fortunately a store opened and I was able to buy a book. But I couldn't do that all the time. So I borrowed a shovel from the motel management and cleared the walkways. I needed the exercise. The manager loved me. (Most of the visitors were bitching.)
So, I agree. After awhile I would dislike it. But initially it would be fun. If I was at home I would haul out my mountain skis and slide around town. It's been many years since I've done that...
Did I read that you are applying to colleges? Where have you applied? Do you know what you will study?

oh man, id go insane trapped in a motel lol.
id be checkin out guys like there was no tomorrow though haha
no, im not gonna go to college; my family cant afford it, and my grades were never good enough for a scholarship.
i wish i could go into psychology to work with clinically insane people, or serial killers, or drug addicts, or go into art therapy.
i was looking at naropa university in boulder, colorado though; i liked how it sounded :]

I can tell you have raging hormones. I'm old enough now that sex isn't always on my mind. You may not believe it, but it is actually a relief. Well, I guess the obsession might have been OK if I could have gotten the girls in bed with me. But I wasn't so good at that and was always frustrated. It sucked.
I suspect you are able to get guys whenever you want. You are good looking. And don't seem to be shy.
Too bad about college. It really helps pay the bills when you have a degree. Well, some degrees anyway. A psych degree is worth the paper it is printed on.
Never heard of Naropa U. I don't think you would be escaping snow in Boulder. OTOH I've heard good things about Boulder. They have a Kinetic Sculpture Race, so that is good. I may take my racer there some day. [link] If I can afford the gas to drive there. It's a long way from here.

what can i say, im a teenager lol.
actually, im VERY shy; i was diagnosed with extreme social anxiety disorder, and a panic disorder.
i just think psychology is interesting; like, reading about personality disorders. its all interesting X}
fun, kinetic sculptures :]
haha i do that with the 4 spinning pencil holders in graphic design all the time.
im not too great at making things though.

I'm sorry. That sounds like debilitating shyness.
I don't follow you with the pencil holders. Do you have a picture?
Have you considered taking a class in photography? Or joining a photography club? You might find that fun. And you could hone your skills. Learn more about composing, lighting, and framing. I found that fun when I did it.
It snowed the last two nights here. The roads are icy now. I need to go out now anyway. I wonder if I will need chains...

i was always shy as a little kid, but i took the MMPI-A like 2 months ago, and i was really close with my self-diagnosis; i never wouldve guessed 'dissociative identity disorder' or obsessive compulsive disorder would pop up on there o.O
we definitely need chains up here; the town should just automatically give everyone a set of snow chains at the beginning of december.
of course, we'd probably need them from november to about april, up here.

Damn! [link] I thought 'dissociative identity disorder' was an invention of Hollywood. Hmm. The symptoms don't sound like something you can reliably measure in a test. I wonder how they decide that.
It seems to be strongly associated with abuse. I hope that isn't something you have to deal with.
I was very shy. With considerable effort I partly overcame it as an adult. As a young child I did some compulsive things. But I outgrew those. And I had anxiety during my teens, but that eased as time went on. I hope things get better for you over time.
I drove around for awhile without chains. Usually there is snow only on my street and the rest of town is clear. Not this time. So I put on the chains. The car was more controllable. There were quite a few vehicles fishtailing, especially pickup trucks.

i dont know either, but my therapist has told me that during our sessions, i have a way of talking and thinking and acting, and it sometimes changes during our sessions. i dont even realize it until he tells me o.O
maybe thats how they do it haha?
i was always shy as a kid, and i had an impulse to count everything out to the number 8; anything i did, i had to do it 8 times.
now its even numbers; odd numbers just bother the hell out of me. and counting every step i take on every sidewalk square, until there's a crack. i take 2 steps on every square. X}
sometimes 3. lol
my dad just plowed the street with our badass allis-chalmers tractor lol.
i love how we keep a tractor in our yard year-round haha

But if you can look back and see that you have changed your talking during the conversation then that isn't the same thing. According to the description the person doesn't remember things that happened to a different personality. This sounds flaky, like so much else in head-shrinker land.
I did the same thing! I had to make sure the number of steps I took was an even number. But I stopped, I think about the time I reached my teens.
I'll bet you have a large backyard.
We still have ice on our roads. But major patches of dry pavement. I chose icy streets because I didn't want to take the chains off. And I just heard it's going to get much worse tonight: snow, freezing rain, and more snow.

I've spent the whole day going thru pictures from Australia. Each day of photography seems to take me a day or two to process. Ugh.
