The words Porneia/Fornication from early AD to the early 1600's meant Lower Class SLAVE prostitution, and did NOT mean regular prostitution, and did NOT mean Pre-Marital Sex/Unmarried Sex. The original Greek NT word was Porneia and it did NOT mean pre-marital sex/non-married sex/unmarried sex that was NOT even an issue way back then, and in that original context Porneia meant buying sex with slaves, or buying pederasty and treating them like a slave. The Greek word Porneia was translated into Fornicatio in Latin in the late 300s, then into Fornication in English in the mid 1500s, and NONE of those words meant "pre-marital sex/non-married sex/unmarried sex." It was the Puritans in the 1600's who incorrectly CHANGED the MEANING of Fornication to incorrectly "mean" Pre-Marital Sex/Unmarried Sex. The Puritans used to publicly whip "fornicators" (using their INCORRECT definition of fornication as pre-marital sex/unmarried sex).
