Hey I've been marathoning your Saints Row fanfictions on FF.net, and I'm just curious. In A Saint's Resurrection you mention the Boss painting a picture of Stilwater at dusk but it had Lin, Carlos, and Aisha towering over the city. I was just wondering if you had ever done that yourself? Because that part nearly brought me to tears lol.

How do you like the looks of the upcoming game?Β I'm anxious to see what you do with the new material!Β Although, it'll certainly be understandable if you have to move away from fan fiction for a while... I imagine you've got a lot to keep you busy for the immediate future!Β Still, it's always interesting to get your impressions.Β I think you might be my favorite Saints Row fan artist/writer.Β I've come to tie the franchise to your work, the one riding on the heels of the other, anticipating both.

It was a little eerie tbh, when I was writing with Kris we wound up toying with this whole other universe that was sort of crossed with Vampire: The Masquerade (or World of Darkness, I think it's officially called). Seeing as in his universe, vmapires came about, and in mine there's a lot hinting at the demonic.
I really don't think I'll ever get that far; the current fic is taking forever to slog out as it is. I'm in kind of a dry patch before any of the really cool stuff starts going down :/Β
I thank you for the compliment though! Β It's certainly been an interesting and fruitful journey
As for the DLC itself, I can't wait. There's a certain advantage to the newest Saints Row throwing all reason out the window; it makes for a much more playable game where anything is possible!

Β I'm looking forward to it too, especially since it grants a genuine supernatural slant to the canonical Saints mythos (and no, I choose not to seriously consider that business with Santa Claus).Β They've played the sci-fi card well, but I've been wanting to see more of the arcane ever since Mister Sunshine messed around with his voodoo doll.Β One of the reasons I like your work so much, I guess!Β Just seems to grant the whole affair a more mythic quality, the Boss a more unearthly force.Β I've always been a fantasy geek at heart.
Β Though I lament the apparent loss of customization... I'd like to hope that we could get to play the Boss again at some point in Hell, maybe after the main story's been completed, and let them at the new super powers.Β I always wanted to give my Boss wings!Β That flying mechanic looks epic!
Β Though I'd bet good money that we STILL won't get any height options or cut scene replayability.

You should draw a picture of Johnny Gat holding a baby. A tease at the ending of Forever A Saint. You know, because you ended it at The Boss taking a pregnancy test... It would be really cool

Say, have you considered posting your fan fiction on DeviantArt as well? Some people do that. Might be a way to increase your audience.

Now there's an idea. Might do it when I revisit the earlier chapters, thinking of re-writing them

If you'd like my advice, I wouldn't recommend it. I know it can be tempting, when you're an artist or writer, to go back and improve your old work. But it is what it is, warts and all, and even the parts you don't like should be acknowledged as something which someone, somewhere enjoyed.
I set a rule for myself a long time ago that past a certain point I wouldn't alter my old comics, even if I'm ten times better now than I used to be. I remembered that there were other webcomics I'd read which had done similar things, and I missed being able to see the original art. So I let my body of work show my growth as an artist, let the old work become history, and look forward to creating new work for the future.
The audience recognizes that as the story moves forward, so do the storyteller's skills. It's all part of the same process. What we have now has grown directly from what came before, and it's nice to be able to revisit the genuine past. Changing that past would enervate the substance of your current work. You might see flaws in it, but your readers don't see it with the same eyes. For my part, I wouldn't want the story to be malleable.
I'm sorry, I"m rambling. It's... geez, 3:30. Ughugh. Case in point, I could spend another hour going over this rant and making it perfect and poetic, but I think I've made my argument. Sloppily, but effectively, I hope. Now I have to look to the future. I have to look to get some sleep so I can finish the next page...

I can only reply in short, Where would I be as writer without your advice? Either that or you're just very persuasive

Thankyou I use Photoshop, though I'll sometimes use Illustrator for stuff like line art. I can be a bit lazy with it sometimes but I learnt how to use it at uni so it's just easier.
