You have an incredibly awesome talent, I wouldn't even know where to begin when doing a sculpture! Thanks for adding my gallery to your WATCH list by the way, I appreciate the support.

Ok, and I should also add some thanks for checking out my "Renaissance Man" series of illustrations [link] in my gallery and selecting them as favs. I keep intending to scan in some more of that older work (it's all from the earlier side of this decade) but never quite get around to it. Anyway, cheers for the support!

thank you for the fav. Good luck with Maya. What book are you using as a guide?

Maya books - well, I first tried Mastering Maya (Eric Keller) and Introducing Maya (Dariush Derakhshani) both had limited visuals... next up tried Learning Autodesk Maya: The Modeling & Animation Handbook and the Foundation book - both put out by Autodesk. Much much much better. More visuals of what was being taught. All the books came with cd roms that have videos of everything, but some of it just wasn't clear enough for me to really understand what they were doing or more importantly why they were doing it - I felt like I was just following along.
The other issue that I was having was that most of the books that I had were more interested in teaching the animation side of the program and not the modeling. I ended up getting the shortest subscription at Digitaltutors.com It's been working out quite well so far - when I can find the time for it!
