I haven't done commissions in a long time. Just starting a new job, so trying to focus and get some ideas on what to do next. I may do some in the future, though.

Just got a $100 mouse, and it has like eight buttons on it! I can tank without touching my keyboard!
(It was open box, so it was only $60, and I really needed a new mouse anyways, I didn't just impulse buy it, don't worry. )

Did you create artwork for a website called "Battlechicks"??

So, you're "J. Whiting". Funny how I can recognize the work. Long time since I ever saw that site.

That site hasn't been around for a bit. It was fun while it lasted, but looking to get back into more mainstream projects in 2010.

Guess you're not willing to step back into "online adult comic fare" ...since you've returned to uptake hand illustration?
I'm not offering a paying project, but maybe someone you might be interested in contacting here at DA ..."Axauv", popularly aka "Succubus Nation". Created graphics business website "Darkworld Designs".
Maybe this is old news to you.

I did the adult site thing for about 10 years, and honestly, it's become very stale for me. It's just the same thing over and over, and while I still enjoy boobs as much as the next guy, it's not what I want as the defining factor f my career. So, yes, I'm looking to do more hand drawing, and I also have a new 3D project in the works that will be mainstream and done for the story, and not just to make easy money.

In agreement about the staleness.
Great! Look forward to the fruition of your ventures.
Best fortunes,

I'm still here, messing with the 3D stuff, and lately trying my hand at digital inking with Manga Studio. I did a few pages for DC comics back in December, so I'm slowly working back into some comic art. I lost my dayjob about a month ago, so I'm taking a long look at what's out there... which isn't much!

Sorry to hear that...you know how this town is about graphic work! *CHEAP!!!*
I've messed with MS debut...it is kool...I think I would love to use it with a Cintiq!!! Your samples look very nice.
Keep in touch...OK???

The full version of MS is pretty cool - it took me a bit to get the hang of some of the tools, but once I did, it's capable of mimicking hand inking very well. The last pages I did professionally were sent to me as digital scans, and that's how they wanted them back, so may as well cut out the drawing board entirely. Plus, I do everything on layers, so it would seem easier for the colorist to have it all broken apart already.
It's not very good for lettering, though. I still do that in CorelDraw.

I never got that deep into it...but like the little I did.
Never used CorelDraw, but Adobe Illustrator is my game now!

They do a lot of the same things.
I've heard some good things about the latest version of Painter, but lack the funds to go nuts on new software right now. I think it has some nice inking tools from the gossip.
