In reply to your comment on 'Singers Base' because the tracing bastard is an ignorant bitch-
She barely credited it...If you want an Anime Base, support the ones who make them from scratch or draw a base yourself. Using Traced Bases is essentially recoloring. And while i admit some base edits are good, some are just scribbled on with the fat blobby paint tool for 5 minutes and then gone 'YAY ITS DONE AND MY MARY SUE OC LOOKS AMAZING 8D'
Yesterday i REFERENCED a Base to draw something myself. I don't know much about Anatomy, but i made her body a little thicker and added toes.
Credit is getting permission from your sources and giving them a lot of credit. 'op [link]' is NOT credit-that's just being lazy. I refuse to credit base-makers like that- And i have to turn the internet upside-down sometimes to find the original picture.
Credit is 'I give full credit for the base to Soandso as she created the original image, and gave me permission to make it into a base for everyone to use. She's a wonderfully nice person isn't she? Credit HER original image, NOT my base.' Going 'GIVE ME CREDIT FOR THE BASE DESU!' Is demanding for people to credit you for being an art thief, essentially.
Original Bases CAN help you learn Anatomy and clothing as the base maker often knows what they are doing. Tracers just follow lines and often the anatomy turns out wrong.
Do you get my picture? Long story short-
Traced Bases are shit-Original Bases are much better, or at the very best, no base at all.
