Looking through your gallery I have to say I'm intrigued...what motivates you to write those short poems, where do they come from?

Hey! Usually simple bursts of emotion, or specific images. Carving these short little pieces - for me it's akin to whittling tiny figures and collecting them together.Β

They do seem to mostly negative, but then so do the things I write

I find expression very valuable. Also means that the positive ones are particularly precious...

It's easy to focus on the negative, a lot harder to hold on to the positive. That does make them precious, and so very important...
Do you know why you find expression so important?

I believe it clarifies. Crystalises. Allows for release. Sometimes it helps with letting go of something, rather than holding on so long that it rots.

How do you properly express what you're feeling, though? I never seem to be able to accurately capture what I'm feeling.

Whoof. That's a big question. For me it's about imagery and the senses. And producing quantity enough that quality begins to shine through. Another reason why snippets are so useful.
Just go for it. Produce and don't stop until you've captured it.Β

Just keep blurting things out until something seems right, then? xD I suppose that's one way to go at it. Maybe the best one too; try things out and see what sticks, instead of always staying stuck in your head and never getting anything out because it's not exactly right.
And yeah, sorry for the big questions; I'm kinda like that, especially when people actually answer them. Feel free to tell me to shut up if it gets too much

Yes! There's a great analogy I was told - two groups of amateur potters were given a task. One was told to make the most perfect and beautiful pot. The other group was told to make as many pots as possible. Guess who made the best piece? When it comes to art, practice and production always yield results. ^^
