I think it translates to "Devil's Box" or "Diabolical Box" but the localization team has named it "Pandora's Box" for us english speakers. At least that's what I've known for a while, so unless the article you read was really current then I don't think it's changed. If you google "Professor Layton and Pandora's Box," you get a lot of hits on english sights XP

Haha, "Professor Layton and that one box thing that...yeah, y'know" GAH, I couldn't help it...I had to look up the premise of the second game...VERY VERY VERY minimal on info- all I know is they're going to see Layton's mentor and THAT'S IT! But still WOW I'M EXCITED! It led me to draw a young, Luke's age Layton (DAWW!)

I'm gonna use an extended metaphor to explain my odd position about looking up stuff on a game. When I play a game and experience it for the first time, it's like eating a PERFECT sundae (...I've gotten too many hours at work this week...) You've got it all at once- hot fudge, ice cream, whipped cream, pecans, etc. in the BEST possible condition. However, you COULD have ice cream (a trailer) without all the fixings (the actual first time experience, the english, etc.), but when you get to the sundae (the actual game), it's just not as good because you've already had some ice cream...your pallet is already accustom to the sweet, y'know? It's like that 15th bite of ice cream compared to the first bite when you were hungry.

Thank you! I only know the premise of the second game, the fact that there's something about time travel and meeting older Luke in the third game, a prequel to the 1st game that has been announced, and that is literally all I know.
