An art raffle is:
You do a couple of things, like faving the journal, leaving a comment and spreading it around, and you get a ticket, which is a number. Then, I go to: www.random.org/ and I choose a random number, and the one whose number is shown on the site will win a drawing from me.
An art contest is:
You don't get tickets, but you need to draw something for me, and I will pick a few judges to help me decide which drawing is the best, and the winner will receive a drawing from me.
I hope that'll clear it up for you.
