No, I didn't get the gift, but I would love to get it.
Last night, after I typed that, I just kneeled on the kitchen floor in the dark, listening to the sonic forces main theme, re-thinking my life.
XD


This doesn't just make me want the game, it makes me want to play through every single sonic game ever made. Even 06. I actually want to sell my Wii U and get a switch now. Before I was like:

Oh cool! Nintendo Switch/ Nintendo NX.
I'm fine with my WII U. Maybe someday, I can get a newer console
Now:
OUTTA MY WAY!!! I NEED IT NOW!!! >

It's kinda surprising that people are ready saying that the sonic forces gameplay is bad.
Personally, I think it looks fantastic. The only problems I had from watching it were personal nitpicks.

I'm an advocate for really open levels I'm sonic, but I don't mind the level designs of the modern games.

They aren't linear at all, and sonic forces looks like it has a lot going on in the levels. Even in the backgrounds, you can see eggman smashing stuff, missiles and rubble flying through the air, destroying buildings... I think that sonic forces will be a game chock full of alternate pathways to explore.

Some people say that they don't like how the wisps are what give you speed again, and that they don't think that the speed will be balanced.
I don't like the wisps either, they don't have a reason to be around, it's really annoying to me when sonic, the main character, is totally bland, and boring aside from special powerups. (Sonic 3&K I'm looking at you)

Shadow: speed + chaos powers

Blaze: speed + fire powers

Metal: speed + electric powers

Silver: speed(flying)+ psy powers

Sonic: speed+ [insert power up here]???

I think that the wisps are overused. I'd like it better if sonic just got "boost energy" from the capsules instead.
And instead of the other color powers, he could just use a cool, unique move from a past game.

Maybe some sort light speed dash/attack instead of Cyan Lazer and green hover?
Maybe a tornado move instead of the GARBAGE GALAXY WISP!!!
Maybe the Focus field move from sonic chronicles instead of the bomb wisp?



But I digress. I like speed in sonic games slightly more than platforming, but I think that sonic forces looks balanced.
Even without his boost, sonic runs Crazy fast.

The game looks amazing so far. I only wish they'd use other characters rather than rehash classic sonic, or make a totally new character.

I don't follow Steven Universe, but whenever i get to watch TV and Steven Universe is on, i can't help but instantly change the channel to it. Pretty much everything about Steven Universe is fantastic, although i probably shouldn't say that since there's no way i could critique it as well as someone who religiously sees it. But honeslty, from the several episodes that i've seen, Steven Universe is the definition of a great cartoon.

The characters are likeable, developed and deep. They have great backstories and emotion behind them, and they interact very well. The animation is very fluid, without a tinge of laziness. The style suits the show, it's simple, and visually appealing. The color design is also quite wonderful. As a matter of fact, the entire show gives off an ethereal, heavenly feeling, even the soundtrack. Whenever i look at the backgrounds, it's just UGHH!! SOGUUUD!! It's like heaven on my TV screen.
And it appeals to me even more, because i'm biased towards 2D animation. That's one of the reasons i like Sonic X over Sonic Boom.
Also, the art style of a cartoon is very important. When i saw Uncle grandpa for the very first time in comercials, i assumed it wasn't any good. But with Shows like Gravity falls, the art style immediately made me want to stay and watch.

Not to mention, I LOVE THAT THE SHOW HAS LGBT THEMES!!
Not for any perverted reason, but i respect ANY cartoon, that contains LGBT themes, and pulls them off well, along with being as great as Steven Universe is. Cartoons with LGBT themes are doing a service to us. I'm so glad that the newer generations are not only growing up with a cartoon as fantastic as Steven Universe, but they'll grow up in acceptance of LGBT, treating it as a perfectly normal thing (which i believe it is), and not ostracising it like some people do.

Whenever i watch great cartoons like The Loud House  , Star vs the forces of evil  , Steven Universe  , Gravity Falls  , Harvey Beaks  etc (Some of these, i've only seen less than one full episode of, yet i still KNOW they're great), it just makes me not care less about less-than-great shows like Teen Titans GO! or Ultimate Spider-man. As a matter of fact, it's shows like these, that make me NEVER want to stop watching cartoons. Even if i live to be one hundred and seventeen years old, and am confined to a bed, and have to drink my food through a hose in my foot or something, i'll STILL be watching shows like these.

 Also, Amethyst=Best character.
I mean, she can Spin-dash. I lost my   when i first saw that.
Not to mention, her Spin-dash works better than about 66% of 3D Spin-Dashes in the actual Sonic games 



Also, have you ever wacthed REDLINE? It is the most well animated thing that i have ever experienced. It's so fantastically well-animated, that it's unbelievable.
It used more than 100.000 hand-made drawings, done in 7 years. Every shot looks like a comic page or a full, finished image, it's unbelievable. I would show you a GIF or something, but you NEED to see it for yourself. (there is one boobie scene though. O.O)

yeah i like the art style in Steven universe even thought i hardly ever watch it and i also LOVE gravity falls!!!! its like the kid vision of supernatural and i love the character relationships its really well done. i haven't watched all of the episodes but when i do its awesome!! and no ive never watched redline but imma check it out right nowww! and ill tell you what i think. i dont really watch ttv at all except for supernatural and face off have you seen face off its AMAZING!! its an awesome art show with makeup and stuff just AHHH you must see it. It looks amazing! I'm so glad that my favourite superhero team is finally getting a movie!!

I've seen every MCU film eccept for Dr.Strange.
I'm really excited for wonder-woman too, i wish that we had gotten a wonder woman movie, and a flash movie back in 2005. Back then, i LOVED WW and Flash in the cartoons, but i knew nothing about them.

The MCU movie i'm the most excited for is "Spider-man Homecoming" obviously! I just hope they make it just as good, if not better than "Spider-man 2(2004)"
In a perfect world, we'd get a new Spider-man movie every year, telling stories of each year of Peter Parker's life. Just like the Harry Potter movies. 

And the DCEU Movies i'm the most excited for are "The Flash", and "The Batman". (Most excited for Flash's movie)
