Thank you for the watch. I should also mention that you have the single most concise yet badass deviantID I've seen on this site.

Hah! Thank you. Granted I'm the product of rather odd life choices that's for sure. I can't say how sustainable they are in the long run but I'll see how far they can take me.

hah, don't think i can really change my major at the moment! - besides, as much as i'd love the travel, other aspects of it wouldn't interest me quite so much (: but nonetheless, it does sound wonderful.

Haha, I changed mine several times before I settled. Now I'm well and truly roped into it. It's not all sunny days but it is definitely an amazing job to have.

Written in a bar in my own version of shorthand, then typed into my mobile phone, then added to some more, left some out due to my own indecipherable rush writing.

(certain) Bars are great places to work. Something about creativity, among other emotions, and beer seem to go hand in hand.
I scribble in the margins during lectures.

Very much appreciate the favorite on my piece good sir. The encouragement that your praise gives me is unmeasurable.
i'm sure you get this question to the point of possibly inducing dreadful annoyance, but how is Alaska?!?! i've always wished to visit and shall hopefully be lucky enough to run into the funds some day. Just thought i'd bother you with the question in the off-chance you wouldn't mind sharing with me a few of your highlights in living in such a pristine place.

Hey, not a problem.
Alaska is awesome. I've lived here for quite a while now and enjoy every minute of it. It's really not comparable to any other place I've lived in the U.S. I'm actually leaving for Michigan for a couple years and realizing how much I'm going to miss it. The mountains are gorgeous, you can drive half an hour out of town and be in near-pristine wilderness. Unless you live in Anchorage, there's not really such a thing as big-city life. I live in the interior so winter can be a bit tough sometimes but it really is the most amazing place to live. If you get the chance you should definitely come up. But I wouldn't recommend the tourist route. Find a group of people to go exploring with and definitely read up on places that sound interesting. The touristy thing is okay but you end up rushed from place to place never having actually seen any of it.
Just a quick correction though,I'm female. No sirs here.

i would have to do that and i have a tendency to avoid touristy nature for just that reason - true appreciation of anything takes time and that amount of time is different for every individual so i do dislike being pressed for it. If at all possible i shall definitely take you up on that offer, sounds extremely fascinating.
And endless apologies on the mistake. While i know it only occurred as a direct result of my attempts to personally thank everyone for taking the time to read my piece, that is certainly no excuse for such an egregious mishap. You more than thorough response to my question only makes me feel all the more disappointing in myself, could you ever forgive me / is there anything i can do to make it up for you.

It does take time and it certainly takes energy and the time to focus in on what you want to see or learn about a place. You can end up in an amazing place like Alaska and just get lost with so many things to see and do. It's easy to lose focus. One recommendation I can make, if you drive from Fairbanks to Anchorage on the Parks Highway and end up about half way in between, there's a place called Glitter Gultch (big tourist stop but it has it's perks). Prospectors Pizzaria has the most amazing pizza and beer after a long drive.
And no need for apologies. It's easy to do. The internet is notoriously androgynous. I enjoyed reading your work.
