# About me
Hi I'm Rupa and welcome to my profile! I love to draw when I find some time and I'm not the best but enjoyment is more important I think :) .I am a member of PARPG (pokemon 'game' group thingamy) but everything related to that will be here StarlingsNest .
I have two sable German Shepherd dogs - Fern, 7 years old and Storm, 3 years (Fern's son). (I've had a persian cat, rats and gerbils most recently beforehand).
My favourite animals are the Greater Kudu- a type of antelope, Stoats, Rats (aaaand goats/sheep and everything else probably). When I move into my own house and have more time (if that ever happens ^^; ) I would love to get a pet Skunk! btw I live in England :3 .
I would love to work with animals as a career and have studied Agriculture for two years, however I'm currently studying Animation because I'm torn between animals and art! My dream is to combine the two in some way, or have one as a hobby, at least. My other interests lie in slightly more unusual practical crafts, such as wood carving, woodturning and forging (thoughI've only tried the latter two so far!).
My favourite colour...um maybe green and brown, maybe orange and white, or turquoise and white :B. They tend to come in pairs ^^; My bedroom walls are bright green so i suppose that settles it! (I prefer forest green though, a nice dark shade)
My favourite Pokémon is Arcanine or Fletchinder... closely followed by Sawsbuck, Gogoat and Floatzel... and too many others.
Don't be afraid to talk to me, I don't bite! (well, not unless your super evil) Note me, whatever you like, but be warned, occasionally you may get roped into a long conversation about some random thing or other ^^
I don't have facebook, twitter or anything like that. I'm only on here, Grooveshark, PSN and Steam, if those count. Oh I have snapchat too lol.
The following consists of way too many stamps... Gosh what does it say about me heheh

Hey buddy ^^
Super busy and behind on college work lol and missing dA a bit, never come on here anymore ;-; but other than that, fine and fabulous, how is your lovely self? Thank you so much for stopping by, made my day heh :3 nice to see a familiar face now and then, even though technically it's not faces but you get what I mean xD
Went and did some lambing again this March and April at two different farms, and one of the orphan lambs decided to adopt me as it's mother and followed me everywhere, and got rather jealous when I bottle fed anyone else x3 bless her heart. Named her Nubbin X'D

Ah, I see. I suppose schooling and work is more important then the internet. XD Of course! I was wondering where you had been. I've been fine. Not doing much, really.
That sounds like it would be interesting. That's funny. XD And a little sad... but I'm glad you made a friend. My chickens sort of did that with me. Or maybe it's just because I feed them.

To an extent because it's stressful heh, doesn't mean I don't value my friends! Had also not been seeing my partner quite a bit at the end of term there and he understood why hehe, so it's not personal to anyone :')
Although he's another reason while I've been absent I suppose haha, because he takes up all my free time :')
On other matters, I now have a good friend who intends to move to Canada one day ^^
Haha yeah bless her, it was really difficult to leave her behind. ;-; The farmer wouldn't have had a problem with me taking her because he sgtarted out with a pet sheep when he was 7 and worked his way up from there, but I just had no space near home, and our house is barely big enough for our two German Shephards let alone a small ewe as well :'3
(and small she would have been, because pet lambs are always smaller than those brought up on natural milk, and on top of that she was the smallest of a set of triplets!)
Heh I don't know anything about the mindset of chickens, or much at all really lol , but either way you have company I'd love some ducks myself~

Fair enough. XD
Oh yeah? That's nice to hear. Tell them not to move to Ottawa though. People are pricks here.
I can imagine. That would have been nice if you could have taken her.

Ta XD
Yeah he would appreciate some snow for starters haha
Orly, warning taken, that's a shame :/ I wonder what makes them such butts there haha, I'll let my friend know :')
Yes indeed, she was a sweetheart with the cutest little bleat, somehow identifiable compared to the other lambs, or maybe that's just because I was around her a lot Half the time we walked about with her tucked into my waterproof dungarees :') (that I was lent because my own waterproofs turned out to be rubbish lol. One of the other lambers got so peeved at it haha, particularly one time I took her into the kitchen while I made a cup of tea on my break! (it wasn't the farmhouse kitchen though, more like a storeroom kitchen cause it had all supplies for the B&B stored there, and people clomped about in their boots in there, so I deemed it ok to carry a lamb in for 5 mins heh).

I have no idea why people are like that here. But mist everyone I know who has lived somewhere else say the same thing.
That's funny. XD And my parents get annoyed when I bring a chicken into the house. I know what you mean about recognised her bleat. I have a few chickens like that. People think I'm crazy.

Maybe they just moan a lot there instead and actually people aren't really bums haha.
Do the chickens randomly poop indoors? Cause the lamb didn't but that's probably chance lol. I wouldn't have minded if she did though, she was a week old, how was she to know
Really, wow :3 I haven't been around birds enough to know the difference, that's super cool~
Guess what, I skipped the second year of my course and am now on a degree x3 animationnnnnnnn

starling16 In reply to Aliuh [2016-09-20 08:56:03 +0000 UTC]
haha
xD I'm just that fabulous ;3
I don't know really, this lecturer that is known for being really grumpy and not very approving of the students progressing up to the degree... recommended I skip the year and go straight onto it?!? XD
Apparently I think about things differently and he thinks that'll make for some great projects and it's more about your ideas and being able to get them down in a readable way, as opposed to knowing all the programs really well (which was a worry of mine since there's a lot of things I haven't been taught how to do in some of the softwares yet, but apparently some people start degree without ever having touched the programs before so I guess I'll be okay x3 )
In the end I figured I should challenge myself :3 I get told I do too much work for the standard of work required for that last course anyway hehe
and I may or may not have slightly split up with my partner who was in that class also so that would have been awkward haha

Aliuh In reply to starling16 [2016-09-20 14:45:38 +0000 UTC]
Wow. You must have impressed them. So.. was it the first year you got to skip? Sorry if you already told me. XD I have a bad memory.
I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm glad for you that you won't have to deal with the awkwardness. XD

starling16 In reply to Aliuh [2016-10-14 16:27:02 +0000 UTC]
I guess so!
Nah, it was the second year I skipped (2 year course). No worries lol, I don't reply often enough for any sane person to remember what I've said to be honest, so I wouldn't blame you either way :')
Thanks dear~
(Unfortunately though, my college/uni has a large open plan room full of macs and Windows touchscreens that many of the classes use, and it just so happens that his class and my class are in there at the same time for the majority of Tuesdays, so I have to deal with him staring at me and coming over to try and chat a lot anyway but hey ho)
What's bothering me though, is the fact I won't be able to go lambing this Spring ;-; (I've kind of relied on it as a breath of fresh air of sorts, to go someplace new each spring and forget about the worries of life and focus on the ewes. Even though it's not a holiday and I don't rest hah, quite the opposite, it kind of does the same thing psychologically in that sense. Also it's probably useful to do some exercise XD animating being the stationary job that it is).
Last year going for about a three weeks-a month altogether left me behind on work for the entire rest of the academic year lol, and I'm already starting to slip behind now as it is! Also we are going on a trip to Prague and Stuttgart around Easter time, which I am forking about £450 out of my loan to attend heh. Should be good though hopefully~

XD I do the same thing.
You're welcome. That sucks. XD I hope he doesn't bother you too much.
Aw. That sucks more about the lambs. I hope you can get back to it soon. I hope you enjoy your trip!
Don't get too far behind! Although.. you're technically already a year ahead.

Case and point right here lol.
Hope you've had a good Christmas and New Year bud~ My grandmother has dementia so we spent it at her house caring for her and keeping her company~
Haha it's turning out to not be too bad, he just stays over wherever he's at and works these days.
Mm, coincidentally on Saturday a lady I have lambed for before, last year in fact, sent me a text asking if I were booked up for this year Really made me grin to see, I guess people appreciate hard workers She said she already has a helper, but yanow even if she doesn't need me I would love to just go and visit, they are a lovely family there, and they have a couple wooden huts on site that their friends live in, so it's like a little mini community! She even supplies them with firewood and such. Now that I can drive I go could go down and not trouble my mother with the journey too.
Thanks! Should be good :3 I'm not sure what to expect, it's so far away from home! Trip has been moved to May also, so technically I could have organised lambing afterall hehe, but I still would have been behind on uni work.
Yeah... that's a funny thought really. Both behind and ahead in a way
I'm figuring out this place is quite lacking in equipment though, would really love to be able to experience working with motion capture equipment and green screens, so I'm considering transferring to a uni that has those
Question is how to get a reference off of a lecturer without telling them why I need it haha!

Aliuh In reply to starling16 [2017-01-17 16:28:49 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! I did. I hope you had a nice time with your grandmother. I'll admit I know little about the care of someone with dementia.
That's really nice that she would think of you! That sounds like a really nice place. I wish I could live somewhere like that.
So if you fail this year, you won't technically be behind! Motion capture scares me. XD I feel like I would get so frustrated with it. Yes, that might be tough. If you transferred, do you know if you would you still be a year ahead?

starling16 In reply to Aliuh [2017-01-22 03:24:24 +0000 UTC]
Mhmm
Aye she's lovely and the place is lovely, though small I suppose. I'm considering going down between days I need to be in classes since that's a five day gap including the weekend heh. They are due to start lambing there the same week I have deadlines for two projects though so maybe the week after :')
Maybe? xD
Some people are saying it makes sense to finish this FDA (foundation degree) and do the last year elsewhere (it's two years and then a third year added on which changes it to a BA) or go into the second year of another course at least, because the first year is like an introduction to programs and such and they reckon I'll be quite bored hehe. Whatever the case, I just don't want to be missing too much information going in (since these other courses are more specialised) so that things aren't too difficult to settle into.
Well, I have no idea how complex motion capture is, but we used a green screen one time and it was simple enough to go into After Effects and more or less just delete the green :') (though obviously not quite that simple) so fingers crossed.

Sorry for the slow response. DX
That sounds like when I started to take animation. I was somehow mislead into thinking that we would be animating the first year, but all we did was draw. I realise that makes perfect sense, but I was so disappointed I didn't go back for the next year.
That all confuses me. XD I wish you luck though!

(Thought I'd take a leaf out of your book and have teensie writing also ) Shhhhhhhhhhhhh don't say these things~ I signed in bc dA emailed me saying I had messages :')
Chikitita tell me what's wronggg (sorry got random things stuck in my head today)
Mhmm, they do tell us the first year is an introduction and that we will start to specialise in the second year. So you never know, it might have been alright if you had stayed
I've just been to an interview for 3D animation and that seems very intense from the beginning hehe, (at that place) seems you start off researching an animal, then model it in 3D, put a skeleton (rig) in, animate it... the whole process!
Oh sorry didn't mean to confuse you

No worries, my brain's just not that good. XD

It's just something I've always associated with you, never thought to ask why :')
Haha, it's designed to teach you from scratch possibly, though apparently some unis want you to have an idea before signing up. I did some basic modelling in a program called Maya last year though on my animation course and I'm trying to animate a dance with a downloaded character at the moment~
Shhhh, you are perfect

XD I've always wanted to use Maya! You're probably farther along in 3D animation that I am then.
XD Thanks.

If you feel like being dedicated to learning it with tutorials, Autodesk allow students to download it free for three years just say you are a student lol.
Maybe, I know the basics I'd say but on the flip side I know nothing of 3DSmax etc, so it's much of a muchness.
Most welcome o friend of mine~
