Thanks very much - just had a peak at your gallery, your lighting skills are fantastic!

LuxXeon In reply to steveee [2013-03-13 01:10:09 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, but it's not that hard to get good lighting when you use an unbiased render engine, like Octane. I can't say I have a strength in that department, beyond the fact I can pick out a good HDRI, or occasionally set up a few decent emitters in my scenes. Once I decide where I want the light to come from, I'll set up some emitters (often just one or two) and then either a HDRI or environment map for reflections, if needed, and let Octane do it's job. There's no real skill required to do that. But thank you anyway for the kind words!

Hey, thanks for the devwatch. I guess you stopped 3D too huh? I just can't find the time or reason to do it, how about you?

So i've been converting my old models and people's models to need for speed, lol.

I stoppped becuase there is no real reason to do it - but it is fun lol

How come you changed your name anyway?

hmoob-phaj-ej In reply to steveee [2010-03-27 22:00:17 +0000 UTC]

long story short, I got with a girl that lived 2500 miles away from me because we met on deviantart, I moved to live with her, I got with her because well, we both did 3D cars at the time and she was a very talented girl when it came to computers and anything electronic. Anyway we met through my 3D cars and what not. When we broke up, I closed down my other page because I went nuts!(how mature, lol) And made this page, after my emotions subsided, I restored everything on the other page. but kept this one. The name literally translates into Hmong Hero, in my language which is Hmong. lol. Anyway later.

You dropped out of school!?!?!?! Why? I'm in 9th grade and that is unheard of. It might be a little different in Europe... but still. Also in the US you like have to go to college if your going to get anywhere in computer graphics.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

steveee In reply to steven4651 [2006-08-14 22:21:36 +0000 UTC]

It will allways leave a gap.. just get it as small as you can.. then make it all editable.. then connect it to one single object.. and weld the points together. Tedious i know.. but it works!
