I was thinking about making the Indominus Rex for Jurassic World. But currently right now I started work on another Godzilla design.

Cool, are you going to give the og 2016 design a body? or a new approach?
π: 0 β©: 1
Gabe-TKE In reply to tdelgiudice [2015-05-07 23:44:18 +0000 UTC]
I will be making a new approached. If I was to try to add a body on the original I would have to decimate the mesh to it's basic poly structure and rebuild a body which would require a LOT of work. I would have to reuv unwrap the mesh which sometimes causes errors in ZBrush.

I see. You could also dynamesh the model to make it workable, resculpt piece to liking, decimate/ remesh with zremesher, project the details, use desired subdiv level to uv, and then export maps out of zbrush too! As long as your poly count is below 100-150K uv master should be ok to generate some quick uvs. (Unless you prefer using a different program to uv manually which I admire and respect highly)

Would it work if the model was made in blender??

tdelgiudice In reply to Gabe-TKE [2015-05-08 23:25:57 +0000 UTC]
Be sure to play around with the dynamesh resolution. You may have to set it pretty high to match the polycount of your model(s) but then again it's all based on your own preference

What I may do is decimate the model in Blender and go into ZBrush to rough out the forms using dynamesh.

You can always dynamesh a model regardless of it being composed in Blender or any other software! Simply select your resolution and hit dynamesh and you will get a retopologized model
