thank you for dropping by and for the comment. Yea, it can be uncomfortable at first if you go out photographing strangers, but with practice you get used to it. a few tips that helped me:
1. Don't sneak around: don't try to hide your camera as if you're up to something bad. Just relax, hold you're camera or keep it around your neck.
2. Respect their privacy: if they spot you pointing your camera at them, just raise your camera as like a gesture to ask for permition, or ask verbally. Most likely they don't mind.
3. smile: I find this very important. don't act nervous, appear friendly and smile. They will smile back.
Basically its all about common sense, observe and evaluate the situation. You will know when its appropriate to shoot or to leave the camera in the bag at first.
