I've put a lot thought into it..
and I'm not giving up.
My art was just imploding on myself, and I wasn't expanding. I need to just draw anything, and if I'm not happy, I need to draw 'til I am happy.
Thanks Cameron. Your comment means a lot to me. ^_^

I'm glad to hear that you're going to keep at it It would've been sad to see you stop doing something you have talent for!

^^
Going pretty well, actually! This semester I wrote a solo for flute and piano (I think I invited you to the concert on FB), and I'm in the process of working on an orchestral piece based around the Fibonacci Sequence (0 1 1 3 5 8 13 21...). While I have some stuff written right now, I have a lot of conceptualizing that needs to be done first xD Lots of ideas need to be fleshed out and such.

Which one did I show you? I can't remember |D
I have some older ideas; like a multi-movement orchestral piece about the universe (inspired by Cosmos and the bad-assery of Carl Sagan), or a DNA/RNA fugue, or a piece where the main melody is treated like a gene that undergoes various types of mutations. Stuff like that

axiliation, I believe :0 the orchestral one!
and yeah, I've heard the Carl Sagan stuff! anthony and one of my other friends listen to those songs a lot. they're really neat. also, thanks to my music appreciation class, I know what a fugue is! xP that's the really academic stuff, right? :0 I'd like to see what you do with the DNA/RNA idea. that's a cool idea too.

There's a lot of nuance - particularly in regard to when and where different types of music are made. The various movements within eras (Baroque, Classical, etc.) make a lot of difference when it comes to delineating between types of pieces; forms, etc. Lots of history to consider
^w^

so I hear, so I hear... we just got done covering the Baroque era, so I'm curious to hear how it differs from other eras when we move forward :0 I've also been noticing how much the eras of music parallel with the eras of art. pretty interesting xP

I think you'll notice a quite distinct change in tone and style as you move into the Rococo/Classical era; dominated by the introduction of sonata form (ABA form, or fast-slow-fast), which was made into a more distinct form by Franz Joseph Haydn (adding a fourth movement). Lots of interesting stuff happening, musically :]
Yeah - directly in regard to French Impressionism Which reminds me of the recital I went to on campus! The woman pianist played a program consisting entirely of Claude Debussy's work, ranging from his earlier years writing Romantic-style music to his modern, Impressionist pieces. It was quite the performance ^^

oooh, I can't wait for the rococo especially :0 I think we're doing classical next though... unless they're both in the same era or something. xD I JUST DON'T KNOW MUSIC LOL.
hmm, never heard of the guy. sounds interesting though. I'd wanna hear what romantic and impressionist music sounds like, cuz I really like the art from that era. in fact, recently I went to a museum in San Fran where they exhibited a bunch of impressionist pieces from France, like ones by van gogh and cezanne. or as anthony calls them: "go, van, go and SHAZAAAM!!"

The Rococo period began during the latter part of the Baroque, and was what largely influenced the later Classical composers; particularly Haydn.
You should type in his name on Pandora and get swept away by his awesomeness
There's some great art from that era! Manet, Monet, Seurat, Signac, Renoir... ~_~

perhaps I will, in my spare time! :0
yep! saw em all at the impressionist show! except for maybe manet, I don't remember any of his... I think my favorite is cezanne, actually. I looooooove his coloring style. and I like the colors that monet uses.

who, wha? you mean monet? yeah, I just liked how vibrant his paintings were and how exaggerated his colors were. and I guess that's impressionism in a nutshell, but he takes the cake! lol xP
