Hey dude, i'm so sorry I completely forgot! I'm caught up in the process of trying to get my work put on exhibition at my town museum & arts centre. I've been rushing around like a mad one getting stuff lined up for it. I only have a couple of prep sketches, but i'll get it done with in the week!

Not to worry man! I am inhabiting very similar shoes. My week turned out to be busier than expected, and I didn't really get around to working on the piece until yesterday. I should have mine up within the week as well. Also, that sounds awesome about the gallery space! I wish you the best of luck with it, and am sure you will knock the socks off the unwitting public attendees!

I'm working freelance at the moment, also in the early stages of setting up a screen printing business. Still living in Penycoedcae although I was living in Meadow Farm for a while.

Your doing web design right? I cant remember man its been too long. Its nice to hear you getting back into it, we'll have to meet for a drink and draw! Im sure Mr Way will be interested too! Maybe even a reunion?

Yeah dude, well I'm not doing web any more. I was never a designer but I learned a lot about making websites anyhow, I just updated the welsh assembly one. Now I'm helping roll out this software for them because it pays more. So what sort of freelance work you getting? Is it paying well?

I'm not sure how to go forward in terms of drawing for a living. I was considering trying to get some work experience with a comic because I know I wouldn't be satisfied doing anything else, but it doesn't seem to work that way. It seems like you submit an idea with some artwork to a publisher and they decide whether they will want to publish it for you. If you have any idea about this or advice in this area that'd be good. I'm also living in Newport with my gf at the moment and its a bit expensive so I'm not sure how feasible it's going to be for me to try and switch to a job in comics.

I'm well up for a reunion, and of course you guys are welcome to come down mine any time, what do you think would be best?

Ah right, sounds cool man. Especially the pays well part!
The freelance work varies, form storyboarding to logo design. For example i'm rebranding a restaurant at the moment. Only thing is I have to fight to get the work in which is hard work in its self, it pays well when the work in is in but I have to got two sometimes three weeks with no work which is a killer, thats why i'm starting to screen print so there is always something there so that I don't have to go back to a shitty sports store to keep my head above water.

The industry is tight so i wouldn't recommend jumping ship with out getting your contacts first.

Charactures are always a winner though!

As far as comics go i wouldn't know what to suggest, i would love to do it but i'm just not at that level yet, maybe i'll give is a shot when i'm 30.

Thats kind of you for the invite, where about in Newport are you? Maybe we could take it back to the old school and meet in Trefforest haha (joke!)

Most of the guys are living in or around cardiff now so that would be best it think.

That's cool, so you'd be printing tees n stuff? I got a high quality a3 scanner and printer I was going to fix old photos n stuff for some xtra income but I haven't taken it anywhere yet, it comes in handy anyway! I'm not planning on jumping ship I thought I might put something together and see if any publishers are interested... well we'll see, It looks like civil service jobs are going to get cut so it may be a case of sink or swim for me.
