I checked out your gallery, and I really liked it! I just recently started doing more realistic stuff, due to colleges and all, but I'll try and give some advice...
First, it's finding a medium you like. Graphite pencil is easy, generally, but you gotta have a nice variety of leads. (9B, 3B, H, 2H, 4H, etc.) Of course, I'm sure that's just common knowledge, haha.
Second, there's the matter or contrast, which is why the different leads are important. The more contrast the better. Take the deviant, Cataclysm-X, for example. Now, I don't know this person directly at all, I watch them here on DA, and their pencil work is amazing. Lots of contrast, [link] see? Now, some do increase contrast while uploading via PS, or whatever, but still, it's important.
Lastly, Sharpness always helps. I liked the clock drawing you have a lot, but if you want to be extra-realistic, try making the edges of objects that should be sharp (like metal and glass) extremely sharp when drawing.
I'm not the best advice-giver, but I hope that helps!

well i actually olny use one mechinical pencil..i even have the pencils i just dont like haveing to switch all the time... same reason why i dont do a whole lot of color... but i dident really think of the contrast thing... that is my problem i think i just started doing realism this week and i noticed it really is hard to jusp from a color thing that your seeing to drawing it in balck and white... ive been told to draw glass before... they said it was crazy shadeing... but thanks for the advice.. im sure it will help..
