ahah what a cool coincidence!! and yaay, a favourite, hooray!!
i honestly have to say that crazy stalker or not, the things you sew are absolutely breathtaking, i just can't believe it! do you both hand-sew and machine-sew?

hehe! there's quite a few extremely talented costumers on here! i was surprised when i first discovered it, but our work truly is art when you think about it!!
awww thankyou! everything i make is hand-sewn. i don't um... *shuffles feet*... own a sewing machine!

That makes it so much more amazing!! I can't imagine the time it takes you to make some things, and the level of the craftsmanship is amazing! I'm starting to get tired of my sewing.. I don't know, I just feel it should be better. Not that it's bad.. I just can't explain hehe(: What I mean is that there's always one thing that's not right on a garment and it's irritating!!
How long does it take you to sew something? And are you self-taught?

aww you are much too kind!!!
i know exactly what you're trying to say. last year i came home from costume college feeling incompetent. but it just makes me work harder each time. and you just have to remember that the whole thing is a learning process. we'll never be completely, 100% accurate even up to our dying day! no one will, unless we get in a time machine and bug the heck out of contemporary seamstresses! ...but you can try your darndest!
i had an extremely talented costumer tell me that if anyone's looking close enough to pick out a tiny mistake, you can kick her/him. :]
um.... i've whipped out a civil war wash dress in 2 weeks, but those are pie to me haha. i can't say how long it normally takes since i've never sat down and calculated it. but i guess i could go look through my lj and figure it out... :]i find that handsewing is a billion times easier because you actually have complete control over every stitch in a garment and you can take it anywhere! unless you're hemming a 5 yard skirt. that takes a whole room and a bbc movie...

Heheh I'd be happy to kick anyone who was acting that way towards me! It's not right to be that way towards another when (usually) they've tried their best.
I'm starting to hand-sew things, also. My rule is that if they hand-sewed it then, so will I! The only exception is maybe with corsets. I don't like to hand sew them because they take so much strain that it just makes me extremely nervous ^_^ And I agree, it's so handy to bring it around places and keep sewing even when you're not at home!
