reading it currently. its a mix of book hellbound heart and movie hellraiser. the original pinhead in the novella was much different then the movie one, this book is the movie one in appearance and voice. Harry D'Amour is the main character if you have read any of barkers books with him in in or read any of the comics with pinhead and harry (tho this book isnt in the comic cannon).

Sacred is a bit shorter then i expected especially after digging into Imagica but im a slow read anyways. Barker needs to finish the Abarat series before he kicks it anyways. He nearly died a few years ago and still cant travel for book signings, poor bugger.

 Yeah, my Mother passed away a little more then a year ago and I lost my home and my Dog, tried killing myself and now I've moved as far away from Napa asa possible and trying to start over with my partner.
 I got back into magic a little bit after losing everything snd had a seemingly bad experience with Sigil magic and backed off a bit.

 How's life for you?

Aw man my condolences go to you and your Family with your Mom dying and all. Bummer. I've been hearing about this happening way too much recently these days during the Holidays: either friends of mines were dead or people I know had family members dead or dying in their lives. I'm not sure what's going on in the Universe lately but it's fucking CRAZY. Lots of Dark Days lately.

You tried to commit suicide? Man nothing's that drastic or serious. My goodness dude..............I'm glad you got yourself together though, where are you living now? I'm still in shitty Texas until further notice.

What happened with Sigil Magick? You should've reached out to me, I would've helped you in some way if not directed you to someone that could. I'm fortunate to not have anything bad happen to me when I practice, just the usual unseen Dark Forces attacking me from all angles, both in Waking Life and my Sleep.

oh yeah, seeing that you're an artist you might've heard about this guy in that book, Austin Osman Spare. dude was an artist as well as a writer. his thing was "trance painting", where he self-induced himself into a hypnotic state and painted the visions he had.
