I have two druids, a mage and a paladin that are 85. I also have about a million level 80 characters, lol. I'm not looking forward to the Panda expansion, to be honest. I was hoping they'd do an expansion based on the Emerald Dream, but instead we get one based on a silly joke. Oh well!

Haha, That's what my Step Dad said. and NICE on the 80's and 85. Im a lazy blob when it comes to lvling a character haha. I have only 1 85. But my step dad beats me, he has like 5.

Heya, not much is new here, although I'm strongly considering moving overseas in the new year.

I've been busy as usual drawing in my free time, both on my batman account and this one. Been making some improvements in my drawing method too, getting into the habit of drawing completely digital and avoiding having to use pencil sketches.

I never did buy a new Wacom tablet, but I've learned to love my laptop with the Wacom screen. I don't think I could draw without it now.

How are things with you? It's getting closer and closer to your deployment overseas...

That's pretty pricey, but it would be worth it to be able to stay in touch with friends and family. Who knows, you might find some cheaper options after you get there, perhaps some local options, too.

Hey you! Things are ok here. I've been working on writing a story, and it's turned into a bit of a mega project. I've never written anything this long before. I've also been doing some artwork over on my other account. Yes, more dirty stuff...

I have not forgotten about our trade! I think I'm pretty much finished with the coloring, but I'm still not happy with some parts of it, like the wall. I'm just going to keep tinkering with it, but if you'd like to see it, I would be happy to upload it for you to see.

Oh, and I finally bit the bullet and cancelled my WoW account I guess my time with WoW had come and gone and there was no point paying for something I no longer enjoyed. More time to write and draw!

I had no idea you wrote! Well, extensively, I guess I should say. That sounds exciting, though. Will it make any appearances on dA? I've been wanting to start a little web-comic sort of thing myself, but I'm always too scared.

I would absolutely love to see your colored version! I actually realized two days ago, that since I gave you a .png (I believe?) file, you must've had to make every color layer in multiply... and I did the biggest facepalm -ever-. I'm soo sorry. I don't know why I wasn't really thinking, for some reason I thought you could just duplicate the line art on another layer and go from there. Dur, no. >_< I feel really bad about that. If I ever do that again, you can badger me and poke me and call me silly until I give you the .psd file.

Your poor little druid! I can kind of understand, though, I think I might be fast approaching that point myself. One of the best parts of the game for me was always RP, though I did think PvP was tons of fun, too. The only person I really play with is my best friend/roommate since guilds have gotten really impersonal now (seriously, since when did the average guild have 500+ people in it?). I've been doing heroics with him, but people are just too overly concerned about how fast they can burn through an instance with blindfolds on while doing the highest DPS. Not really my cup of tea, but we'll see how it goes. Do you plan on still keeping your characters in drawings and such?

All in all, things are going well with me. My GRE class is almost over , and I've actually been working on a tribal-style belly dancing costume. Costumes are really difficult to find at a decent price, and a lot of times they aren't really guaranteed to fit. So making my own seemed the best route. If all turns out well, I'll post up some pictures!

Geez, I pretty much wrote an essay on your page. Hehe, sorry!

I do write now and then, but as with things lately, they tend to be stories for my other account. This current story, however, is mostly safe for work, and I'll upload it to DA when I finish it.

Re: colouring
You didn't do anything wrong! These days I always do my colouring with the line art as the top layer and in multiply mode. I then use the brush tool to paint in the colours on layers below. I used to do my line art as B&W on a transparent background, but these days I prefer scanning my pencil sketches (in a more finished state) and working off that in multiply mode.

The line art I sent you was the old style where I drew new line art on top of the scanned pencil sketch and then discarded the pencil sketch layer. I still like working that way too, for a more comic-style line art.

Re: WoW
I do miss my druid, and I had a quite strong attachment to that character. I don't miss the game, though. I feel like I just don't fit the profile of the type of gamer that Blizzard wants. I agree with you about the guild thing. With the new guild features, I found it even more difficult to find quality guilds. I finally gave up and played solo. I will continue to draw WoW art, and that includes my druid! I don't have a lot of wow-related inspiration these days, but I will draw my druid again.

Look forward to seeing your costume if you end up making one. Belly dance costumes look like they'd be particularly fun to make.

And I'll try to upload the coloured version of your line art soon. I'd still like to tinker with it a bit.

Lack of regular friends to play with, and the game was taking a direction which made me feel incompatible with it. I guess playing it for over 5 years, it was finally time to call it a day.

I do miss it, but I'm not the type of player that Blizzard is after. I'll always enjoy drawing WoW art, though!

I played horde too. Had an 85 belf mage, and several other 80 hordies. I was hardcore horde for a long, long time before I went back to Alliance. Oh well, I hope you enjoy the game!
