Oh why hello there! I have just stumbled across your profile and I noticed that we have the same name ouo and so I decided to point it out because I have nothing better to do XD

Oh why hello there indeed!

And as it turns out apparently we do indeed have the same name!

What a glorious and wonderous thing!

Now is your version of Chloe the French version or the Greek version?

Do you use an umlaut or an accent when you write your name???

I do so love meeting other Chloe's that are human!

I've only ever met people who were like "Oh yeah, my DOG is named Chloe!" or "My CAT is named Chloe!"

Ugh, such horribleness!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

condy-candy In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-10-18 20:48:06 +0000 UTC]

I write my name the same as you do, Chloe c: I was named such with intent towards the Greek, though. I think it's kind of interesting how many ways people spell it. Chloe, Cloe, KhlΓΆe, e.t.c. People often misspell my name as "Chole" which really annoys me for some reason. That would be like... "Cole" or "Chohle"... :I and I hear so many people tell me the same thing with their pets XD It's a rare occasion that I get to meet a fellow human Chloe XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-18 20:59:51 +0000 UTC]

Ahhhh see, I spell mine with the umlaut.

I just didn't know how to do it on here without getting all that funky code garbage all over the place hahaha!!!

Mine is toward/the Greek as well as I have Greek god parents and family.

And except for those horrid Kardeshians (or however they spell their last name) I have only ever seen people spell it "Chloe".

Just with different accents is all, depending on what version of Chloe they were using.

My littlest brother used to spell my name "Chole" when he was little little.

And he used to say my name pronounced "Coal-Lee".

So yay for meeting another fellow human with the same name!

It's one of those rare times!

Wait. . . is it a blue moon tonight? That would explain it hahaha!!!

I see...! My middle name (Sophia) is Greek as well, but as far as I know, my parents don't choose a name for anything more than the ethnicity and the sound of it. Like my younger brother is Collin, which is Celtic, and if he was a girl, he would be Dunia, which is Arabic c: I have only ever known two other Chloes in real life and on deviantART, I have met two, including you

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-18 22:26:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh that's really pretty! Chloe Sophia! It has a really nice ring to it!

Both my middle names are boys names, well one is just the male spelling of a name.

My first middle name is Jesse (male spelling) after a female ancestor who was one of the firstΒ

women to travel across the unsettled US by covered wagon alone. She settled in IL and wha-la my family began!

My second middle name is Eli and I chose it myself when I was 6 or 7 during a naming ceremony.

It was in honor of my best friend at the time, a boy named Eli. I told him that while life may

pull us apart, by having his name as my middle name I would remember him always.

My family kiiiiiinda has a thing for names. Me and my siblings all have a BUNCH of them hahaha!

And I love Dunia! So pretty!

And oddly enough, I have actually never met another Chloe in real life!

I've heard stories of them, but never met one hahaha!

Once in high school someone wanted to know if I was related to this girl who had graduated yrs

ahead of me JUST because we were both named Chloe!

Another was a time in college, but alas I never met that Chloe either!

I did know someone once who said their niece was named Chloe hahaha!

But I have never actually physically met one!
You're the first other Chloe I've ever talked to hahahaha!!!

condy-candy In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-10-18 23:09:58 +0000 UTC]

Chloe Jesse Eli? That sounds nice c: I wish we had naming ceremonies DX It would be nice to choose a name of my own.
The Chloes I knew... I haven't seen an of them for many many years!
But back on the topic of middle names, my younger brother also has ethnically oriented and connected names like me. His is Celtic; Collin Burton. Although, my older brother doesn't. His are Nicholas Andrew.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-18 23:29:25 +0000 UTC]

Hahaha yeah I'm actually quite fond of it. Though I'm not biased or anything. Ha!

And naming ceremonies are really nice actually. All of us kids got one.

It's nice because it allows the kids the chance to pick another middle name

if they feel so inclined. Don't even get my started on my last NAMES! As I have THREE!

My brothers have more middle names than I do, but I have more last names than they

do. Though my little brother beats me for most names by one as he has a hyphenatedΒ

lastΒ name as well hahaha!

One brother has Thomas Jayhue Ramsey as his middle names.

Another has Timothy Patrick Joel as his middle names.

And my littlest brother has Arthur Eli (after me) Robyn as his middle names hahaha!

We do a lot of family names both living and ancestral.

So our names are from across the board, British, Scottish, Greek, Celtic etc hahaha!

That's pretty cool! I think that when someone names their child or they name themselves, they should choose a meaningful name, like they're named after someone important to them or the meaning of their name is symbolic. If I were to name my child, the girl would be either Melody, Emily, or Kyla, and a boy would be Kayden, after a few very close friends of mine.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-19 01:34:34 +0000 UTC]

I couldn't agree any more!!!

I think that's pretty much what it should be!

Not what name is currently popular! Ugh!

If I ever had a girl I would name her Juniper.

And a boy would be Michael after a best friend of mine.

Course, those are the only names I have picked out.

Hahahaha! Guess there better not be more!!!

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-19 01:38:51 +0000 UTC]

Oh I couldn't agree more!

And not only the names given, but the names that

people CHOOSE to go by!

Some people self shorten their names or go by aΒ

middle name so as to express themselves more!

condy-candy In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-10-19 20:11:44 +0000 UTC]

Yes, that too! A nickname can kind reflects on one's personality.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-19 21:53:27 +0000 UTC]

Exactly!

Especially if it is a nickname that you have a hand in choosing!

I also like how nicknames can evolve over time or reflect what

company you're with. Like how some groups of people haveΒ

different nicknames for you!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

condy-candy In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-10-19 22:13:10 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I've had a number of strange nicknames over the course of time. Like when I was little, my dad called my Clover (and now one or two people at my karate class do XD) and my Mom called me Clovis. Then my best friend's parents started calling me that too and then it kind of passed around with my other friends. I've also been called Pixie, Chlo-bo (don't ask XD), and Hot Stuff (again, don't ask XD)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-21 01:25:05 +0000 UTC]

Oh god you and me BOTH! I mean, Chloe isn't a hard

name to say. And it's fairly short. And throughout myΒ

schooling I've always been the only one, but for some

reason EVERYONE decided to come up with a nickname

for me! I too was called Clover hahahaha! But it was by

a small circle of best friends of mine, and I didn't allowΒ

anyone else to call me it. My mom calls me Kit, and a friend

of mine heard her say it once so HE decided it would be his

nickname for me too. Ugh, haha! I had Dalton, Chlo-Dog,

Chlo-bear, Kohlee, Clo, Oompa Loompa (i'm short and like

bright colors, stripes and dye my hair strange colors), ohΒ

god I could go on and on! I swear, almost every one of myΒ

friends has their own personal nickname for me. Or very very

small groups of friends have one. But then again, it is a sign

of endearment and I do it to most of my friends as well so I

guess I can take it hahaha!!!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

condy-candy In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-10-21 01:37:31 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yep! I suppose it's just a fun name to transform or something. I dunno. I never gave any nicknames to myself because no one ever calls me that XD When my mom was my age she tried to make everyone call her Road Runner. When that didn't work, she tried Pink Panther. She never was called that XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to condy-candy [2013-10-21 02:28:05 +0000 UTC]

Hahahaha too true! I don't think I've ever tried

to give myself a nickname actually. Maybe because

EVERYONE else on the planet has for me!

And those nicknames your mom tried giving herself

back in the day are hilarious! And totally awesome!

Why did I never think of giving myself one like that haha!!

Oh I am a talented mind reader indeed!
It's one of many special gifts, along with bad timing, perfect eyesight, being my own worst critic and cooking a mean one pot soup.
I should get a cape.

But seriously you can tell when looking at your pieces that that is what goes through your head.
Because they look effortless and so simple.
Until you take a closer look at them and realize just how complicated they really are.
And hey, it takes a LOT of work to make something looking simple and effortless!

Okay, if you could see me, you would start to laugh imediattely. I am happy and .... BOUNCE.
Egh.. Sometimes I act like a 6 years old child.. And think like one. XDDD /litle secret./
Wait... wait... WAIT. I don't know how to cook. T3T'''
Anyway. This is my problem... XD

And about you.. Yes, you should. O.O
And trustly, I make one drawing like this is 5-10 min. >.>

upxfromxbelow In reply to DpShadowOn [2013-01-11 01:14:39 +0000 UTC]

Yaaaaaaaay for being happy enough to bounce in place!!!!
And laughing! Laughing is the BEST!
And hey, don't we all act like 6 year olds from time to time?
It's how we stay young. Besides, it's good to go a little bouncy, crazy, hyper, AWESOME every now and again! How else to do you keep the rest of the hum drum world on it's toes hmmm?
It will mos def be our little secret.

Uhhh, you don't know how to cook?
*shakes head sadly*
Uhmmm, I think you might want to rectify that situation.
But then again. That's why microwaves were invented.
But seriously. . .
Dump chicken stock (broth you can buy in a container!!!) into a pot, add uncooked noodles, throw in garlic (it even comes pre-diced!!!), salt, pepper and any spices you like. Once the noodles are done crack an egg or two into the pot and stir quickly with a fork so it cooks but is broken up into wisps. Right there is a simple, basic one pot soup. You can add veggies or meat or anything else later once you get the hang of it!

And wow. . . That was really long hahaha!!!

And I think I shall. . . O.O
And wow, 5-10 minutes?
HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!! That's like WHOA short time!
I are even MORE impressed now! XD

Well.. I keep this mad world on its toes with sacrifices and blood paintings. ^^ Nothing more.
I think I said too much but anyway.. My little secret. XD

Thank you for the recipe, now I am going to burn the kitchen. O 3O /Just kiddin./

It isn't that long.. You have all the space in the world to write. XD Haha.

And yeah, about 7-8 minutes. I'm happ I could amaze you. XDD

Also I just have to say that your color usage, your tones and pigments, are truly astounding. It's not just the vibrancy of your pieces, but the over color flow. Bright colors are one of my favorite things out there and I'm glad someone is putting them to spectacular use!!!

upxfromxbelow In reply to abcartattack [2013-01-06 18:16:40 +0000 UTC]

Well it was no problem really!
Most people shy away from color, or only use it to highlight their work.
Now don't get me wrong, I find nothing wrong with that as all art is beautiful.
It's just refreshing to see someone grab onto brights colors as a medium.
And not only that but a hand held, real deal medium.
Unless I am mistaking you haven't used a single of computer color in your pieces.
And that makes me so happy to see!
So thank you!
I can't wait to see more of your glorious pieces!!!

abcartattack In reply to upxfromxbelow [2013-01-08 02:38:31 +0000 UTC]

Thanks very much!
And heck yeah, I don't use computers.
I keep it traditional, I want you to be able to grab hold of it, run your fingers across it and feel the textures.
So thanks for appreciating that!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

upxfromxbelow In reply to abcartattack [2013-01-09 23:26:38 +0000 UTC]

I mean don't get me wrong, what some people can do with computers is simply breathtaking.
Really.
But I just prefer traditional because like you said, it's something you can hold and touch.
Art I believe is something that is meant to be enjoyed by all the sense, sort of an all encompassing thing. And computer art, though beautiful, only fulfills sight.
It's like books, they're meant to be held and smelled. Their spines are meant to be snapped, their corners slightly dog eared and their edges yellowed with age, use and love.
Not electronic and plugged into a wall with self illuminating pages.

Sorry, I went on a tangent rant hahaha!!

But you are most welcome indeed hun!!!

Ugh, and no matter where I go I always get a lecture on why buying an ereader is better!
Pluh on them!
And hey, don't get me wrong I TOTALLY buy songs from iTunes.
But I ALSO buy the hard copies! Sure CD's can take up a lot of space but I am still proud of my hard copy collection. I like having the actually thing in my hand!
I like leafing through the booklet, reading the thank yous.
And besides, nothing beats my vinyl collection.
No mp3 will ever beat those.

And hahahahaha!!! I'm glad my tangents did some good then!
