*sigh* I'm totally garbage. I like your art , Did you have a hard time with art or was just good at it?

Oh trust me, I've produced a LOT of awful art in my life. I still draw a lot of garbage, I just try not to show anyone, lol. Nobody is born with talent, and anyone who makes something good had to make mountains of trash in order to get there. It's really important to give yourself permission to suck and to just draw as much as you can. Art--and any creative thing, really--is all about mileage. Have you heard about "ten thousand hours of mastery"? It's the idea that you have to put in at least 10,000 hours into something before you get good at it. For writers, it's your first million words. I'm not a master in either respect, but it's a good thing to keep in mind. I know how frustrating it can be to not be able to put your vision on the page, but if you keep practicing, watching how other artists work, using reference, and observing how other artists draw things, you can definitely get there. π

Thank you for giving me wisdom. I'm usually the one doing that but thanks. I try not to be too hard on myself but it's difficult. Especially when I look at other people's art. Life is hard.
