I found the comment helpful, but was still a little confused by what you meant by it. We're you trying to compare Cora to that? And if so, how did she see Erika reflected in herself?

It was mostly the bits about deception that I thought you might like.

I did, I found them relatable to what happened (the whole "deception in the name of happiness" bit) since Cora deceived both Erika with her ruse and herself by reassuring herself she was doing the right thing.
So overall you enjoyed it, I guess my real question is?

To be honest, it's so long, I haven't read it in its entirety, I just skimmed a few bits. I'm not a big fan of romantic stories. But I noticed your drawn punctuated line and the quotes about deception and decided to send you, well, the note I sent you, of course. At least I can be helpful in that way.
