# About me
My name is Tess. I am a lover of many things: Charlie-dog tops the list, along with the obvious loved ones; the rest are in no particular order: gardening; discovering the medicinal uses of herbs; getting my hands in the dirt; preening my herbs. Sewing; creating sewn garments from old rags (I like to call it remixing recycled rags); making skirts and pillowcases and quilts out of neckties; making reversible, paneled mini-skirts out of tie-dye purple and hot pink duct tape; my simple little Janome and the fact that all sewing machines come with a secret compartment for holding bobbins and spare feet. Sleeping 10 hours each night, being awake during the day (sunshine!). Rainy winters; sad, crisp, colorful autumns; warm summer nights; the hope of spring for the oncoming season of lovers. Exploring all along the American River Parkway with Charlie dog so many times that we have to have seen more of our little segment of it than any other person on earth. Wading in the river with my pants rolled up (getting wet anyway), holding out cheese for the small fishes to come bite out of my fingers-- sometimes biting my fingers (score!)-- then quickly swimming away. The other side of the looking glass. My little kitty Schrodinger. Upside down jigsaw puzzles. Target focus. Field focus. Climbing up my being, chakra by chakra. Exploring the depths of my mind. Exploring the depths of your mind. Collecting anything and everything, and feeling a certain passion for each and every one of those things at one time or another, then letting it all go with a monthful of sobs and starting over. Books. Turning off the television. Letting go. Holding on. Something mysterious, spectacular, simple--yet complex--awe-inspiring.I don't know...me.
UPDATED, 9/29/2015:
Charlie-dog is no longer with us, although his energies are everywhere now, not just by my side. It took more than a month's worth of sobbing to let that one go. He's buried along our river, on an island that's surrounded by water most months of the year, although, with the drought, I worry for his little body.... It feels like I'm the Little Prince, and I've left my rose back home on B-132 (I made that up; I don't remember the planet's name) and I feel so guilty and worried thinking about her without her glass belljar covering her delicate little body for protection. His delicate little body.
Time has flown.
Current Residence: Sacramento, CA. I miss the howl of the coyotes like an ache in my heart. I left that behind in Orangevale.
Favourite genre of music: I'm into silence now. And binaural beats.
MP3 player of choice: Why did I even write this in here? I've never listened to MP3's.
Shell of choice: still abalone
NEW: Favorite Tarot Decks (that I own): Shadowscapes, Mary-El, Agni Roerich [with a great many first-and-a-half placer's!]
