he really isn't. unless his infinite wealth counts as a superhero.
but wouldn't that identify with Bill Gates? his wealth is indefinite so long as people continue to buy into Microsoft.
But you could argue that batman has a cool car and lots of fancy dancy crime fighting gadjets. BUT NO SUPER POWERS!
thus, in turn, Batman is simply a HERO. He's no better than the everyday police officer or and fighter. He wears a uniform. He stop crime and saves people. The only difference is, he wears a rubber mask. And has his own comic book...

Ran into an airport and took over the giant pink plane with the purple pokla dots and green plaid and fought off the evil club-dancing barbies with the bondage-slave furbies and set them all on fire but then realised the pimp-Ken was flying the plane and you had to jump out of the plane with your giant-gantic parachute that didn't work but luckily you landed on a hang-glider dude and stole his gliding thinger and landed not-so-safely in the ocean and fought off weird looking pillow-hammer-head sharkies (ooh, lots fighting) and got bitten on the knee-cap but somehow swam to a boat which you stole because the damned thug
