There is a skeleton inside some dolls, but probably you whant to know only about soft ones. there is an ordinary synthetic winterizer (..not sure that this is right translation): in head, neck and body- a dense roll, in hands and legs - only some strips for volume, they are absolutely soft. but it holds the form not only because of stuff, it also depends on fabric. i choose a dense cotton. certainly it can't stand, but it is possible to set toy practically in any pose.
More shortly, there is no any special secrets. i even don't know how it can help you)
