ww = wenwu, is my father's name.
My original username, which I still use for my email and some older accounts, was/is wwsamson (ww and my first name). When I didn't want people who knew me to immediately draw connections to me from my account, I changed my username to wwsalmon.
For a while I didn't have a logo and didn't need one. Then I moved and met a few new people, including allisonpasbjerg , who took the time to make me this logo: wwsalmon.deviantart.com/art/Re⦠(it's gone through a few little tweaks, but it's more or less the same as the original).
About two months ago, I decided that I didn't want to be associated with Minecraft forever. The new logo is still very much based off of the original one. I first took it down to just a lineart fish shapep (wwsalmon) and re-made the ww's (which I consider to be the defining iconic feature of the wwsalmon branding) in a very simple geometric fashion. I drew a circle around the whole thing, and found it to be familiar, but lacking in memorability. So I made three copies of the fish lineart and stacked them together to make a triple-salmon thing that is more unique and memorable.
