the only advice i have to give is DRAW, DRAW, and DRAW.
anyone who is the best at something started off by being the worst at something. it's okay not to be great when you're first starting (i hate looking back at my early artwork!) I would also recommend taking some art classes if you can. i've improved so much in one semester (figure drawing was extremely helpful) and you really learn most by experience.
