Haven't talked to you in a while so I just popped by to see what's new. Congratulations on the new job - sounds like the Subway by you is like the one we go to. They are always changing staff because so many just don't bother doing the job or showing up. Not sure if I could handle the stress of working there myself!

Fortunately one of our former employees is back as manager and we had a mandatory staff meeting last night. (Naturally, the workers who really needed to be there didn't bother to show up - surprise!)
Lack of proper training is one problem that was addressed, also the fact that if you don't show up for work, "You're GONE!" as Sarah put it. She is a young woman so the kids can relate to her and she is someone I can work for as well. I may not get on full time at Red Mountain Coffee as soon as I had hoped, but with Sarah there I can hang in there at Subway until it does.

Well, it says something that things are going better for the employees at a local Subway (the girls have a friend who works there and was ready to quit over things). Perhaps the corporate office is cracking down on things?

Hey thanks, HighPoint is about 3 hours from Wilmington, but only about an hour from my parents house, which is where I am visiting now for about a month. (Isnt it so nice to have such an understanding husband.) I went to a Stellarcon about 12 years ago, and it kind of sucked (the main speaker was Chekov from Star Trek), maybe over the years they have changed. I may have to check it out though. Nice to meet ya, and if you dont mind I will put a watch on ya.
