I have a tendency of holding onto messages when I really like an idea in them. I think I'll always draw RE stuff, so no sweat there. I really like the idea of drawing a Helgast, especially since I just recently played the latest Killzone demo. Helgast look really badass, I definitely want to draw one!

Glad you like my idea, mate! There's never enough good Helghast art if you ask me.

I'm a great Helghast fan myself. Assembling a Helghast soldier costume is a big dream of mine. It was supposed to be my first costume but proved too difficult to pull out without any experience(I've never done any cosplay stuff before) so I changed it into my U.B.C.S. costume. But I have few parts designated exclusively for the hig costume so one day I might finish it.

I'd really like to make a Helghast pic. I was wondering if you could fill me in a little more about the Helghast faction, since I've only played a little of the demos for Killzone. You know, something to inspire a good picture, some background info is always useful.

I'm glad you ask! You see - Helghast derive from a corporation back in time - Helghan Corporation. They discovered planet Helghan with it's rich resources and luxurious Vekta and began to grow in power, building mines on rich in resources planet Helghan. Eventually they decided that with their power they can declare themselves autonomous so the UCN mounted an assault on Helghan-controlled system and.. well, they've wiped Helghan forces, capturing most of it's leaders and sending the rest on an exodus to live on barren, inhospitable planet Helghan.

Ever since Visari, who later titled himself as the Scholar, rose to power, convincing the Helghast to turn the whole nation into military superpower, showing them as martyrs and victims of ISA's(UCN's military arm) cruelty. He gave them strength and purpose and in return he was granted fanatic loyalty. I highly encourage you to watch Killzone trailers, since they're incredibly awesome in my opinion and they show what kind of people the Helghast are(other than being depicted as space nazis).

Wow, thank you so much for all the information! I had no idea that the Helghast had such a convoluted history! The first video I felt kind of bad for the Helghan people...it seemed like they were just trying to become their own nation until the ISA stepped in. And to see all those Helghast troops retaliate, wow!

I think I'm getting an idea for a picture.

You're English is really good! I wouldn't have guessed that it was your second language unless you said it, well done!
