Hey I'm also trying to go to college for Game Art & Design as well! Are you planning to become a concept artist too? I'm trying to find a place here in the US to go that isn't a lot of money. And trying to do it before my senior year of high school ends :/

You could try and look into in the UK where I live. It's cheaper, but you have to pay to get a student visa, and all that jazz. I want to become a concept artiest or 3D modeler. =3

Wow, there are tones of games art courses in the UK. God, that must be a pain in the ass to go to California, but if it's your passion to be an concept artist you got to travel. I'm not too far away from home. I'm only 3 hours away. =S

Lucky. I am trying to find something local but it doesn't seem like there's anything. *sigh* Besides the Art Institute here in Boston that offers a Game Art & Design course.
And yeah, I really do want to become a concept artist. Guess I'll have to travel, just my parents won't like it because it'll be a hell of a lot more money. If I went to the Art Institute I'd be about 2 hours from home? Maybe less. I can't even drive yet. XD

Yeah, I heard in the US that going to college is a lot of money. In the UK it's around £9000 for the whole course. (witch is around $13,000). Travailing is a pain. You might be able to do a different course, and still be able to do concept art. Not every person in the games biz has done a Game Art & Design course. =3

I'm planning to go to a community college then go to a state school for Illustration ~ I'll learn all the mixed media I need. Along with learning to use digital programs such as Photoshop & etc. I already am very familiar with CS4 and partially for Flash Macromedia MX. >_>
