Thanks so much for the Β
Being a fan of I have learnt a lot about Apo from reading the comments on his fractals and so have come across many amusing and helpful ones from you
Your Crackle script has been a huge help to me too, so thanks for that Β

To me he's an Apo giant & I thrived under his mentoring. The crackle script frinstance started out as one of his, I simply added various patterns as I came across them.
Ian is still producing mind-blowing Apo's & posts them on Facebook.
Looking forward to more amazements from you.

I'm not on Facebook but I always check out, Ultragnosis as well as Polyfractalisation and Free range Apophysis.
You must have had a lot of fun in the early days of Apo when the styles and plugins were being developed and the masters of today were emerging Β

Β Β It was a Wonderland. If you've read "Enid Blyton's Magic Faraway Tree", where a new cloudland arrives in the upper canopy evry few days, full of unimaginable & extraordinary amazements, it was like that. So many clever people in a big sharing community turning out an Ali Baba's treasure trove of images, tools and tuts.
Coming back after a year or so hiatus I realise how much I simply skidded thru and so am now having xlnt time going back into saved files, digging out Apos I didnt have time to work on properly then and giving them new treatments with techniques I've since learned. Fortunately I have saved everything to PHD, so have a huge rersource base to access.
The best learning was from the great weekly challenges. I was going lame at the time so it kept me happily working at computer all day & half the night, but eventually my eyes went, hence the hiatus while I had surgery. All working now, but still can't walk well and to keep spirits up Apo works the charm.
Sounds like you too are a big fan of Ian's. His style is so far-out unique, I haven't seen any work so far that is in his league. Every one he posts makes me gasp & wonder how he ever got THAT to happen. My style is a world away from his, but I always learn something that I can incorporate into my methods from his incredibles. I am so grateful for his generous sharing in his tuts

I read the Faraway Tree books so I know what you mean
Β I go to the challenges to explore the different styles of fractals and to see how others have made use of different plugins - it's a fantastic resource!
Since I saw Β my first Apophysis fractal and thought Β I want to do that, it has been so much fun

oh boy! or rather "girl", haha... hey, there is a big sigh of relief coming from me! yay, i had to look up "serendipitous" - so nice to hear that you're fine...
yes, i'm doing also well, we had an early spring here and a very nice summer so far... in other parts of the country there were tremendous thunder- and hailstorms like seldom before, floodings and even killed people, but we are lucky to live in a quiet part here at the (other) end of the world...
i'm mainly into music again and didn't post much here for quite a while... our band "universal sound project" is also dwelling nicely - there might be a little video on youtube soon - we recently played on an art exhibition in a nice old farmer's garden and delivered one of our nicest sessions there - and someone filmed - very cool...
ha, thank you so much for writing, anu - all the best to you...

Hey that's great - floating bits! Nice perspective & DOF you got goin here. A departure from yr usual style - a leap to another level in fact! Very interesting. Glad to have been part of this. Still working on my blog but part of me is getting wistful about returning to making images again so maybe in a month or so. Keep the faith
