Description The basic composition was inspired by this amazing photograph [link] (it's so good-quali that at first I thought it was a C4D render ), the smaller details and the atmosphere came out of my head

Hikone castle, Realms Art water lilies + some other aquatic plants from C3D; some other plants from xFrog

Rendered in Vue 7 Infinite

Lovely, dear - the castle in the background adds a lovely touch of depth to it all, and the lighting is fantastic!

One little thing, though - there's a small spot of light that makes the plants in front of the temple look very green and bright. But since the other plants in the foreground are so dark, it looks a bit odd to me... maybe adding a bit more shadow via Postwork could do the trick?

thanks! ..umm....the plants might look bright bcuz I set the gain of the GR too high
That's why I desaturate and adjust the brightness lately in PS...

the building is from official vue scene , isnt it????

00AngelicDevil00 In reply to somebody-from-prague [2009-02-21 13:08:34 +0000 UTC]

no, I found the closer pagoda somewhere on the net and I texturized it in Vue, the building in the background is Hikone castle and the model is from Cornucopia3D.

Ahh, very relaxing scene indeed. Looks like many of the Japanese gardens, and I like how the far tower dissapears into the clouds too

I like how the tower in the backround vanishes in the clouds! Plus, the lighting makes the scene very special. Great job!

great scene... very very good ^^
i liked the eco-system, but i like the original atmo more... this one is too "cold" o.O

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

00AngelicDevil00 In reply to revesburger [2009-02-20 20:50:37 +0000 UTC]

thank you! lol the original atmo is sunset; this is sunrise...more fog and softer colors ^^
I tried to set a sunset too, but everything was too dark...the original image must be a HDRi, though Vue has HDRi function, it doesn't handle it very well so I finally picked the sunrise

i understand

here a hint... try finding a good HDRi tutorial on the net (i couldnt...) and pretend the renders are the pics and... BEHOLD!... HDRi renders

00AngelicDevil00 In reply to revesburger [2009-02-20 21:18:13 +0000 UTC]

hahhaha I have some HDRi tutorials and I've created many HDRi of photographs, and I've also tried to make HDRi of Vue renders too...but trust me, HDRi generator photo-editing softwares don't handle renders as photographs, so the results were....very funny

lol look [link] (it's my latest render [link] )
I made this with Photomatix Pro 3.1 (a HDRi software) ...in Photoshop it woulda been worse, still looks weird

revesburger In reply to 00AngelicDevil00 [2009-02-25 19:11:56 +0000 UTC]

it indeed doesnt look like the HDRi we are used to see, but its not taht bad
the leaves look nice imo

try some filter in the sky, like =mrcool256 does
