Description
A Magorga has wickedly sharp beak, and its head is surrounded by a mane of outward pointing quills. It has a six foot wing span, large hooked talons and a long sinuous tail tipped with bone. A Magorga has a pelt of short bristly fur that is colored an alternating pattern of grey and black.
These creatures cast a sinister aura, and their shadows seem to move with a life of their own. It is said that if you stare the shadow long enough you will see a glowing face peering back at you.
These rahi were once troublesome aerial scavengers of Bara Magna., until the arrival and final defeat of Makuta Teridax.
By feeding upon his remains they became deadly predators. Magorga live in large groups, creating their dwellings in shadowy canyons, and in caves.
When hunting a Magorga is always alone. The reformation of the Spheris Magna means that they have plenty of other rahi to prey upon; however these predators have dietary requirements which cause them to seek out intelligent creatures, and as such will attack Agori and Matoran at the first opportunity.
Attacks are most frequent in the brightest parts of the day, when the radiance and heat of the sun hamper preys’ senses. These rahi will always strike from above with beak and talons, with keeping their target off balance by buffeting them with their wings.

Powers/Abilities:

Shadow Snatch: While a creature is under attack by a Magorga, its shadow will gradually meld with and eventually assimilate the victims shadow. Driving the rahi away stops the process, but the victims shadow will appear faint, and victim themselves will be weakened and disorientated. Those who lose their shadows entirely will begin to behave erratically, and will become enraged at the mention of Toa or Mata Nui. Only constant exposure to sunlight will drive the malign influence away.

Shadow Puppet: If a Magorga is in danger, its shadow will come to life and fight in its stead. However, the shadow puppet can only function as long as a strong source of light is present, if it is some how removed or extinguished the construct is dispelled.
