For , who asked me to draw his librarian OC, Laurina. hope you like it! ^^
and i'm sorry she's not wearing her glasses (and instead is holding up shades xD i got carried away)time: 4-5 hours
tools: short bond paper, gtech 0.3, photoshop 7.0, laptop mouse
the background was drawn entirely in photoshop with a laptop mouse so.. i'm sorry if it's a little off xD
gash.. and i still don't know what to draw for the second theme in the 100-theme challenge xD hahaha

This is really pretty =3 Uh well the only deviant I know who has finished the 100 themes didn't do them in order XD it's harder so she just did them as she thought of ideas going through the list

Ohh.... hahaha Yeah, i thought maybe i didn't have to do them in order, but my mind was yelling, must be in order!! OCD! OCD! XD and i was thinking i'd spend a lot of time on each one instead of doing the easy ones first.. ^^ anyway, yeah.. it's amazing she finished it! XD

Oh, wow! Like I said, I saw this while I was checking my mail and messages at OMG!Con, and... wow! You really stunned me with this. I was really excited to see how you would go with this, and you still blew me out of the water.
The interesting thing is that she looks "sexy" here, and I don't really draw her that way. You've given her a appearance that looks... I'm not really sure how to put it. I think that, between the way she's posed, and how angular and shoujo the way you draw is, she comes off as looking... sultry? Haughty? I really can't come up with quite the right word for it.
I'm curious as to what inspired you to draw her the way you did. I think it's interesting, and it's a way of thinking about the character that I usually don't do, and I kind of want to pick your brain a bit about it. 
Her hair turned out really well. I think you managed to translate my wonky colored pencil picture into digital coloring very nicely-- it looks a bit like colored foil, and that seems to work.
Autumn really seems to be a style element for you, though. I've noticed things like browns and reds and oranges, falling leaves and so on in other pictures of yours. It's fun to see things like that carry over between pictures.

You're welcome! ^^ Good art deserves good commentary, as far as I'm concerned, so I felt I should put a bigger effort into responding than I usually do.
No, not at all! I just thought it was interesting that you drew her the way you did. I guess bored works as a description... she enjoys her job, and she likes books and reading. But I would imagine that working as the reference librarian, and thus having to deal with patrons all the time, would wear thin pretty quickly on someone who gets frustrated with people easily. Laurina tends to be on something of a short fuse. Which would explain how she acquires such a collection of trouble-makers to eat...
The leaves just struck me as a signature element of yours, something that identifies the picture as your own. It's a very subtle such element, one your can work into a picture easily. Plus, the windows in the picture remind me of a library I used to live near, and it made me all nostalgic. So there you go.
I'm excited about drawing her! ^^ I just... need to find my sketchpad... I think it's in the trunk of my car. I *know* I brought it home with me from OMG!Con, it's just a matter of where I put it down...

Yeah, it used to have very tall, narrow windows like that. It was a lovely building. I used to love going there, and I sort of miss it now.

the bg is beautiful~ so you colour with mouse???! must be hard.. i can't even draw with mouse anymore, cuz, hehe, it's a tablet mouse!! super difficult to use..

touch-screen? is it one of those huge laptops? ah, well, i don't like my tablet mouse.. you realllly shouldn't get one unless you're getting a tablet pen, too! cuz whenever i use MS Paint (is the only i can draw and colour with mouse in) it makes these lines i can't undo!! it's suuuper annoying..

hmm... my mom's laptop's toshiba.. and the mouse is built into it so that you can use your finger to touch a certain surface area and make the cursor on the screen move.. it's kind of a small area.. like 1.5 x 1.5 inches it's hard to explain

Since I have the tablet pen, I use that instead/ LOL, i have no clue what ur talking about, but it's okai. zomg, i've never seen a mouse built into a laptop b4~! i had to buy a mouse. i hate this touch thing on the bottom to sroll and stuff, plus, u can't draw with it, unless ur like freakin' genius. XD yeah, u can use it on photoshop... u can use it on like anything! c:

Traditional media is easier, but requires more thinking I guess~
