Vision
Looking at your commentary, jetpack wasn't something that came to mind though I agree transparent fits. The jetpack portion comes after looking for it so I'd say your vision was partially achieved.

Originality
As always, you're more than original. I've yet to see something from you that mimics anything else. They remind me of other artists but your style is and always has been (in my opinion) your own. This is something to be proud of and praised over!

Technique
Because your technique is all your own, it is hard to really critique your work with anything other than praise. I will have to go back to the jetpack on this one since it was missed upon first glance. The way it came out with the intended display of fire reminded me more of hair. The application of a splatter near the base of the jetpack and the start of the fire itself could help bring that out a bit more.

Impact
Words and phrases that came to mind: anorexic, scorpion tail, beaked. Over all impression: intrigue and curiosity. Both of those things leads us into inspiration.

true, the jetpack doesn't so much stand out. in my mind it was more of... a pipe elbow blasting fire, rather than an actual jetpack.

a splatter would have done well placed right where the fire goes, but this was one of the first paintings i did with coffee, and at the time i was limited to using a wet brush to fling the splatters on, which didn't allow for a whole lot of control... later i came across the most wonderful art tool, a strange syringe, that rather than having a needle on the end, has a curved conical type thing that comes to a point. got it after i had my wisdom teeth removed, was for cleaning the surgical area... after i no longer needed it, i cleaned it real good in bleach and started using it for a painting tool (no, my paintings aren't a biohazard now, it wasn't that kind of syringe... it was just used to spray water, never even touched the tip to anything. at all.)

i really gotta get back into painting. most of the time, whenever i came up with this stuff, i was in school, bored out of my mind, ignoring the teacher and drawing. not painted anything since i graduated highschool near 2 years ago. not sure what im missing now.
