Description Captive Amur tiger. Utah's Hogle Zoo.

So for the April Appreciation month being held by #deviantHEART , we're supposed to upload something we appreciate in our lives every day for the month of April.

My appreciation for the day? Every day I get to do what I enjoy despite this *^%#*%^# disease.

Not, it's not a manipulation. The pretty effects are courtesy a very nice lens, a handsome tiger, some leaves, and my nervous system self-destructing, which has been on my mind a lot lately and which resulted in me taking a trip on a beautiful day to the zoo, to sit and watch tigers.

love love love. Tigers were my fave animals for a long time. And they still hold a very special place in my heart.

Thanks, B! Lions and cheetahs have always been my favourites, but the nearest zoo to me doesn't have either of them. What they do have are four or five tigers. They were supposed to have leopards and snow leopards, but I didn't see a single one (and not even an enclosure for them) while I was there. They LIED. But I did discover a Siberian Lynx who everyone said was a brat that never comes out to say hello, but he said hello to me and I subsequently named him Mr. Awesomepants.

my absolute fave right now is the Oscelot. But damn, those photos of the tigers make me wish there was a zoo nearby...

Those terrible zoo-keepers! I can shenanigans! I'd also want to ask them where the hell are their leopards. >

and OF COURSE you have to dub such a fantabulous animal something awesome. Especially when they grant you the special circumstances that they have been denying everyone else (holy crap, wile and domestic cats barely differ in some respects, hey?)

OOH! Thought you might be interested to know .... I'm taking french conversation classes at work. Nothing fancy, but I'm learning I'd like to work in federal positions some day, so I was excited that it was offered

well.. technically they're not paying me for it. I have to use my lunch hour. BUT, I don't have to pay extra for it, so I ain't complainin'

You're just going to have to move here and work in government. Bonus of working for a bilingual country
