Whoa, I LOVE his legs! I have a cyborg guy who has android leg parts, but they aren't nearly as cool as this guy's! I think your painting style really matches this kind of cyborg/robot/futuristic kind of genre. Not sure how to explain it, but the planes and your brush strokes just seem so "cyborg." I also like the border and how this is mostly monochromatic with a pop if neon yellow-green, it really sets the mood for artificiality.Β

ohhhh man. ohhhhhhhh man. this is like. the biggest praise you could give me tbh.
I LIVE for robot and futuristic aesthetics. like man, i love robots and robotic things so much (it's part of how i chose my major lmao). I'm so so glad you think this and you like his design too ;W; i keep redesigning his legs but I think i've finally settled into something i'm more or less content with.
ALSO
SHOW ME YOUR CYBORG OC!!!! THEY ARE MY LIFEBLOOD

Ah, it all makes sense then! seriously, your style is so robotic, I just don't know how to say it in a nicer way x'D
My Cyborg OC is part of my EOS story, but he doesn't look like a cyborg because he covers up the only robotic part of him (his legs). No one in his story is supposed to know except his side kick man :>

tbh though I still kind of suck at getting down the different textures of metal when I paint :/ like I think i can get the shiny stuff ok but i have more difficulty with other kinds lol
i gushed about him in our other thread but i'm going to gush about him again HIS LEGS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL AHHHHH

Hahaha same, I usually use one brush for lines and one for colors for the whole drawing. I'm just so lazy it's ridiculous ;u;

SAME well ok minus lines
honestly like once i find a brush that i'm comfortable with.... i try to do EVERYTHING WITH IT
but like i gotta learn that sometimes you can get better effects with different brushes
also fun fact: i have a preference for square brushes bahahah

Yep, that's how I am with brushes. Sometimes simpler brushes are great because they can get a lot of different shapes down. Interesting that you use a square brush though, that's intimidating to me LOL

I feeel. but then i think that for certain things like.... it's just easier to find a better brush than try to draw out ever detail by hand
yeah, i'm not sure why i like square brushes so much. maybe the interesting texture they get? actually i think it has something to do with the fact that they feel more like "real" brushes i guess
