There are times that I love the below-surface view of a hapless damsel like this, and there are times where I'm perfectly content with a "normal" quicksand picture. I suppose an alternate version of a picture like this wouldn't look right, though, since you'd end up cropping three fourths of it off.

I note that this is your first 'x-ray' of being sunken in the ground. Bravo! Wittingly or not, the submerged portion of the woman continuing to be illuminated with light and shadowing, as though in sunlight, is interestingly arresting as it emphasizes her sensual sculptural countenance as a beautiful, mature young lady... the kind so many of us like to see in these predicaments. Her magnificently long and curvaceous legs set the tone for how wonderfully deep, hence the element of surprise from this ordinarily solid ground so nearly completely swallowing her, the quagmire is! You are a great stylist for hot pants!.. I just love how their rolled hems clutch her thighs so snugly just at her groin! It's wonderful to just imagine all those rapid-fire stages of her becoming so deeply engulfed... as you do so superbly in your series work! The shadowing of her taut nether region and overhanging bosoms compound the sybaritic quality we enjoy of this sink! With capturing some the factuality of portraying how loose clothing (nice counterpoint to her hot pants!) hikes, when it is free to bunch independently of her sinking body, and the depicted directionality of the subterranean mud continuing to give and allow her continuing sinking, the story you tell us is returned to believability. In general, you depict really good mud and here is no exception, but a little more radial cratering around her zone of entry into the soil would have made her sinking more dramatic to those of us who ordinarily inhabit above grade.
I also like the gloom of the landscape around her, emphasizing the subtle manner you suggested the deluge. I was once startled by sinking suddenly and deeply into ground ordinarily walkable but at that time rendered into a deep quagmire. The contrast between her bright face and the darkness of the rest of the picture eloquently capture that surprise! I was excited and ecstatic because I was seeking it.
Her stylish boots were gone in a second; how huge a problem they present in any effort for her to regain terra firma!

Oh, yes, this is very nice! I love the concept depicted by the drawing and hinted by the title, and I also like the description provided by Anonymous for this piece...
The idea that she's out on a rainy day exploring a swamp, gets stuck, and sinks into the mud is wonderful in itself...
I also like a storyline the title hints at that she's out on a rainy day, perhaps following a shortcut through an area that she's used so many times before, but never in the rain, and is surprised at how the has strangely transformed into instant quicksand that now entraps her and slowly sucks her down to her possible demise.
The "below the surface" view is very beautifully done. Love the incredible thickness you show in the mud both above and below the surface. She certainly appears to be stuck fast and tight in the thicking grip of the mud.
The puddles on the surface of the mud along with the depiction of rain plopping in the water and falling all around her a very nice touches, and the combination of sweat and rain on her face is great as it shows the efforts of her struggles and the misery of a rainy day.
Oh, yeah, and a very attractive lady with a curvy, voluptuous body, sexy legs, and short snug-fitting shorts. I also really like your depiction of her attire... everything is covered by her raincoat except her legs, as if she was fine with her legs getting wet in the rain just as long as the rest of her didn't get wet. Perhaps she thought the marsh mud was going to get any deeper than the top of her boots.

Who is she?
Maybe there was never any backstory to this picture but I'm left wanting to know more about her, if only to get a better idea of what's going through her head right now.

She's a nameless character.
The person described her as "curvy, white blond girl with green eyes (the body shape of your Safari Girl for Acidtester was great). She's wearing rain boots, shorts and a t-shirt with a raincoat on". Beginning of the scenario was "she's out exploring a marshy swamp area in the middle of a forest, and stumbles into a particularly wet area, gets stuck and sinks down.". There are plans to commission a sequence that happened before this picture.
